Don't get me wrong. I think most politician's are snakes. But I believe there are laws on the books from 1963 about equal pay for women and men. It just needs to be enforce not another duplicate or modified law. This is politically motivated. The dems are extraordinary about finding a stat then exploying it for political points. The folks they tend to speak to are the less informed or the elite class that understands what the political class is attempting to do. They are suggesting a modification/rewrite of the law that would be unreasonable. If you compare apples to apples, male and female pay is virtually identical. The stats our beloved Prez is attempting to sell includes women that come in and out of work for family reasons, having children, etc... But when you compare with single women dedicated to work with no kids, peer to peer there is not much difference, if any, from what I understand.

Would it be fair to the guy with a family of 4 without any sick days, no leave of absense or FMLA, etc... to pay a female peer that constantly needs time off for taking care of kids, taking LOA or FMLA, etc...? Which one would you want running your business assuming equal competency. I would definitly have an issue with a company that paid female peers lower wages with equal service records and potential. But there are laws on the books now that would justify a law suit for unequal pay. I read the proposed potential points to the bill a while back. It was absurd. No one would sign it, not even the dems. It's just show material to make the opposing party look like the "war on women" is raging on.

I come from a background with very successful women in the family. I've never heard them gripe about this subject.
