AJ....I hope we get the chance to cross paths again...has been more than a while. Maybe at the AC again where we can share a thought or two (nod to thread topic). I'd like to think that after sharing my own observations on the topic that just won't die...that you may be less inclined to use "false alert" quite so definitively since false tends to go hand in hand with true, as if it has to be one or the other...when the reality is far more nuanced...

I hear you...I do have a close friendship with Chloe. What seems to get lost in the mix is that I also consider myself a friend of the other guy. While you may have had him as a client and a few folks knew him from the board, I knew him personally and professionally for over a year before we discovered our mutual participation in the hobby. Iworked fairly closely with him on occasion.That common ground led us to build a pretty strong friendship. I still like and respect the guy. Since it was he who introduced me to Chloe on a level outside the hobby, I had the chance to make direct observations of things about him and he and Chloe, that make elements of the big alert (that I was originally included in, btw) potentially credible...or at least difficult to dismiss out of hand.
It's pretty clear you are not a fan of Chloe and Lord knows there are situations in her hobby escapades that she was a contributor to. A the same time, there has been a penchant to throw out this "false alert" tag as an item of fact, with the implication that it was a deliberate fabrication. That characterization does not hold up to examination. The most anyone should be able to say about it is that it was an alert that was put out in good faith (and genuine fear), that also included elements of information provided by others that were later refuted. There will never be any way to get a definitive answer on the basic allegation, which by the way st it's worst was something that, while misguided and inappropriate, was not anything done out of malice or was particularly dangerous.
So...all I'm hoping is that you have it within you to be objective, particularly about Chloe. If you find making false alerts to be objectionable, then I would hope you would prefer not to perpetuate false (or at least seriously misleading) allegations as well.
If your position is that you can't be objective based on your own experience with him as a client (he is a good guy, so I get the inclination to feel that way), I hope you would be candid enough to say so. If you are open to a fuller perspective on an issue that should have died a long time ago, that would be nice.

So I hope if the opportunity presents itself to have that talk just the same. Would be nice to see you either way.

I have no idea..who your talkin abt..and what false alert your speaking of...now if she is owning up to false alerts in public , that is her outing herself, and thats on her..I didnt attatch anyones name to wht I posted..I generalised..and those things I generalised abt seem to be trending right now.
If there are guilty consciences floating abt..thats not my doing..

Sure you can show up..she can show up..as many members as they want can show up,
Im not discriminating..the mood and conversation will be lighthearted..as I said its a rarety that I get out..
