Why didn't you just refer the Op to the national sticky?
Like I tried with you! I wonder why I tried that? Humm??
Which ever way the wind blows! Any newbie or inquiring mind should probably be directed or automatically (flung into the tornado that is that place) directed to that wonderful place that is the national thread on NBA policy.
Sir Good2whatever any questions or comments regarding this here advise I shall only reply or look over if posted in said national sticky.
Good luck! You should be good to go now! Ha ha

I haven't posted about NBA policies. You aren't dragging me into your nonsensical thought about a provider violating a customer's constitutional rights. My comnents on this thread had to do with your derogatory comment that you now acknowledge violated a board rule. You should apologize for your use of a derogatory racial term. Nobody cares about your thoughts on NBA policies. You've got no credibility in that regard since you've demonstrated your insensitivity to black Americans.

So she wants to block black callers, again whats the difference, she is not going to see them anyway. Why is that a big deal to you.

Are you stupid or what? It's not a certain "she" that's being referred to. It's a suggestion by the op. Why are you trying to make it a big deal to me? I never made a big deal of anything. Brush up on your reading/comprehension

It appears that none of them care to share that info here so there's a vital part of the dicussion missing which renders this thread useless.
Let's slow down, you don't have to pick a fight. Everyone seems too be trying to be nice. You might not like it, but things are as they are. We can change the laws to address the same opportunity for everyone. But when someone acts like a jerk, it is hard to make friends. Sometimes, it is easier to avoid possible problems. Not fair to you, because you don't believe you are a jerk. Sorry, life isn't fair, and it never has been fair. We make the best of life and move on.

Well thank you for showing me the ways of the world and making me realize the error in my own ways. Now I know to make the best of life and move on.

I'm my mind presumes that this is typical behavior of AA's. 'd say that's a pretty harsh position to take....or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by that.

It's horrible and quite unfortunate what happened to her, but I think I can safely say that's not the norm.

I'll also say, I agree with many others in that if the providers position is no AA's, one should just move on and respect the providers/managements decision.

no I did
I showed how NBA couldnt be used in the real world, only on the internet because it is a "derogatory" term
hence the why not use another degotary term?makes no sense
I asked you to explain it and you just launch into a post of drivel, like WE did over in that other thread

obviously you are insensitive to blacks since you allow providers to post ads saying NBA/No blacks allowed
You can't do that at walmart/anywhere in the usa, but you can do it here and you allow it
you should apologize for your racial intensivity!(it was your straw man, I just took your strawman and stuffed it up your buttt, dawg!)_

Meathead, is your avatar a pic of you or another man?

Again, I've not made a comment on NBA pokicy. Just calling you out for using a derogatory racial term and your insensitive attitude about that. You're repeated attempts to create a diversion shows you think referring to AAs with derogatory racial words is just fine when you can get away with it. Pussy.

Black men make up 6% of the population and commit over 50% of the miser's, robberies, and rapes in the USA. Perhaps some women don't want to be the victims of violent crime.

Default To write clearly don't use words of connotation.

There is nothing you can say here that will "upset" me. Amuse me, yes. Many of us enjoy your bodybuilder meathead rants.

When you give people crap for being "fat" or refer to black people as "colored", I can will point out how ignorant you are, and that you are a pussy behind a keyboard.
When you get to my age, maybe it will be understood that the meaning that words have change with time. When I was young the term "colored" was the only proper way to address a black person. The use of the word "black" was not acceptable. Negro was not to be used either.

The proper term for black in Spanish and German gave rise to a hated term, if used today. Can anyone think of what the word is?

Individuals can choose to be offended or not. It is not in the word used that can be proper or improper. It is in the implied meaning that people give to the word, or the connotation. A connotation is an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning (denotation).

For example: beyond the immediate denotation, the word black may have a connotative power to some people, but not to others.

I quit being upset about the implied meaning of words years ago. If a person can't resist using words with implied meanings, the clearness of the written word becomes lost. There are a lot of words with implication beyond the word itself. The use of implied meanings create emotions that limit and direct our thoughts in ways that the one receiving the message may not understand.

Connotative meanings are often used in propaganda to attack others.

Are you sure they can do that, or are you just talking?

I remember, and participated in, the civil rights marches of the 50's and 60's. I remember walking out of a cafe with a lot other boys because they wouldn't serve one of us. I remember seeing separate water fountains and restrooms in the 50's.

I remember not seeing a "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" sign after the passage of the civil rights act, because public accommodations no longer had that right.

How we treat each other privately is a different matter that can not easily be legally dictated.
