Check it or Bring Extra
I have only had this happen twice in my career, but I got a fake 20 this week, I'm sure it was an accident but there are pens to check the bills and I haven't been doing this but am going to start. (just glad it wasn't a Benjamin bill)
So guys please check it or bring extra just in case.
Ladies, you can get these pens at some banks or at any Office Depot like store. If you don't check it and its fake and then take it to a bank, they will keep it. just fyi
Have any of you ever had that issue?

That sucks Holly. Knock on wood. I have never had a fake one that I know of. As a general rule of thumb I always pull my cash from the bank before heading to see a provider. Idk about others but I prefer the provider count the donation first. I would hate to think I miss counted.

I feel bad that this has happened to you Holly, I rarely get Jackson's but when I do that is always in the back of
my mind... the distinguishable 'Water Marks' on Benjamen's are much easier to read.
My second on bc7274 being one of the only True Gentlemen that we Adore and Appreciate,
can not wait to see you on Sunday SEXY!!!

Great advice Holly, thanks! I will add though that the pens are great but aren't 100% foolproof. It's always a good idea to look for the distinctive features of a good bill, like BC mentioned, the watermarks. I'm fortunate to know how to spot a bad bill with a quick look over, my previous years as a teller taught me well. ;-)
