The Perils of trying to hook up with Pauline

The following are just some thoughts and musings from the perspective of the hobbyist, the John, trick, whatever a guy like me might happen to be. This posting certainly does not reflect on any specific interaction with anyone else on this site. Again, it is provided merely as a perspective from one of the two components to this secret life.

There are some in this life that are rather easily able to set up advance appointments and keep them with no hassles or worries. But that is not certainly all of us. For some there can be the call of duty to their work. Make an appointment for some fun after 5 and then perhaps late morning a client calls and needs your attention after 5.

Do you blow off that client that is a source of income for you because you have an appointment booked for $200? Of course not. You have to cancel the "date".
Or you don't book it to begin with until it is much later in the day. Even that can be a risk depending on what you do for a living. Again, not everyone's job or routine is like that but for many it certainly can be.

A provider places an ad that she is in your town. You call to ask if it is true. Basically to confirm it. Why do you do that? It's happened more than once that a provider has placed a listing and they are still hours or a day away from town. Just either letting others know they will be in town or trying to get an idea on response of the listing.
Because a few will do this, and there really is nothing wrong with that, many other providers will get the same call asking if they are in town.

This can even happen from a listing in a profile on a site like this or other sites. But then plans change and the schedule has not been updated. Better to ask than make any assumptions especially in this hobby life.

Why in the world would I ask where you are staying???
This is easy. Just like with any reviews on here all you have to say is things like north side, or airport area, or something other generic designation.
Sometimes a guy needs to get an idea of what area they could be heading to. It helps with the planning of a trip or errand and it also helps in case there are some areas they absolutely need to avoid.
Avoid due to having friends or others that know them work in that area. Or even work at a hotel.

Or sometimes a guy just needs to have a damn good story as to why there were even seen there or in that part of town.

Finally, show me the money! Whether it's a half hour or hour, a special or Adult Film Star price, it's not always the easiest thing to have some "free" money to spend on an encounter. It can take planning. It can take being even sneakier than getting around town. Not all guys can just account for cash being withdrawn, or even found in their wallet or car. Even fun things like paying for pleasure takes on budgeting issues.
Maybe you are a guy's ATF but you suddenly turn up in town. Well, it might just be impossible to get it together.

Sure, there are plenty of guys out there who don't have ANY of these issues. None of these concerns. Treasure them and that freedom. Lucky stiffs.

In no way look at any of this as any sort of bitchin' session. Not my intent at all. Just really giving a perspective that might not always be seen. Or considered.

General area of hotel is always important. I don't need to know that the name is Hotel Perfect, but central Omaha or west Omaha, or downtown is usually an issue because I have a few errands to do around town while I also have time to play. I always avoid the casino's across the river, especially with someone I've never seen before.
