Looking for suggestions for good hotels and areas to avoid

Hey guys I'm going to be visiting San Antonio soon and I was wondering if anyone could help me out on any good hotels and also areas to avoid. I would greatly appreciate it. Pls and Ty. XOXO

Hi, Kourtney! There are basically 3 good areas with a suitable range of hotel options: Loop 410 in the Airport area; IH-10 West and Wurzbach Road in the Medical Center area; and the intersection of Loop 1604 and Highway 281 North. Avoid Downtown/Riverwalk due to parking hassles. Avoid the Studio version of "We'll keep the lights on for you" due to LE activity.

I would stay away from 281 and 1604, can be traffic issues. Agree on airport and medical areas.

+1 on everything Pdid said except I would probably avoid the far north side of 1604 and 281 due to traffic but it is safe.

Airport area and medical center are clearly the best choices.

Kinda surprise no one mentioned this yet. Downtown is not good for parking. Might want to include into the avoid area.

Choose what works for you and your comfort level, but it's best not to get into specifics here on the Board. The general areas described are the best ones for SA clients because of their central locations. As long as you're cool and discrete, you shouldn't have problems.
