Booking Photographers + No Shows!

Hello Ladies and Gents,

Just blowing off some steam - Ladies PLEASE if you book a session with a photographer and you confirm the day before - please don't NO SHOW on us! It really kills our entire day. Plus the creative juices just dry up and blow away...

Zeejoe, In my line of work I just keep it duct taped down. I'd hate to have any ladies trip over it

Next time they try to book you just let them know your rates have gone up...or have them give you a deposit in advance. It seems like providers can be just as flaky as models.

Duct tape? May I suggest gaffers tape? It doesn't leave any residue.

Stone - LOL, I should have said that!!!!

Pat - I have done booking deposits in the past but for traveling girls or ladies who contact me last minute it can be difficult. Also some ladies like to keep it as discreet as possible - I've considered other forms of payment... just not sure what other options besides cash + discreet online payments are options? Thoughts on that anyone?

I have to agree with Pat. Paypal is a good discrete payment method and easy to set up and use. I use it for a lot of things.

I honestly EXPECT to pay a deposit to hold a slot in a pro photographer's schedule. The one I have selected requested a deposit, and as I book my time, I will have no issue sending it. I think you would be totally in line asking for one.
