No hemlock but wormwood isn't the best for you either.
But that cause me any problems.

Welcome back. Seriously. The West-Texan is limited amusement.
My grandfather was a Greek immigrant that was a bartender his entire life in a major city. One of his fav stories was that one of his favorite bottles that his clients liked, would get confiscated by badges from time to time. But, his gal would then ban the badges from the local pastry shop. Until they stopped taking bottles. And well before the early 60s when that item came off the ban list. I heard that story a zillion times. So I learned from one of the best, and also learned why I was to make sure there were coins in his hand when I closed the heavy lid. So now you also know why the occupying emperor of Macedonia is harassed from time to time by resistance heavy cavalry.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before" - Edgar Allen Poe
or perhaps;
"Then the grave, that dark friend of my limitless dreams" - Baudelaire
unless;
“If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended, that you have but slumber’d here, while these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, no more yielding but a dream.” - Shakesphere

It seems to me sometimes my blood is bubbling out
As fountains do, in rhythmic sobs; I feel it spout - Baudelaire (1936 translation)
Vincent Price
Who better to bring a few of Poe's works to screen.
A master presenting the works of a master is entrancing.
