There isn't anything wrong with catching the greyhound or train. Maybe let those guys who requested your visit get the tab on the flight up front..

Just to let you know, you can still get the miles and points even if someone else books and pays for it. The person flying, staying at the hotel and or driving the car gets the miles and points, not the person paying. All you have to do is sign up, (for free) and when you check in or pick up the car you put in your member ID to get the miles or points. It actually ads up pretty quick and is definitely worth it.

Yeah I'm thinking about Amtrack (avoiding Greyhound...been there, done that lol). I've never been on a train and I'm a little excited about it

Oh I'm a member of about 3 different airlines and 4 different booking sites including Hotels.com. I have a free room saved already (free room=$50 towards the next booking). I just don't have nearly enough points for a flight anywhere lol.
