What would you have like to known when you started hobbying?

1. As people have said, doing your Research and finding an established, newbie friendly provider that you like will help out. I got lucky when I found bellabee on a different site. I had jitters at first, but she was able to put me at ease. I would recommend her, but I am not sure she is around anymore.

2. Listen to your spidey-sense. If you feel uncomfortable, dont hesitate to walk away, say no, or do whatever you have to do.

Don't fall for the upsell.

Remember that there are other boards beside eccie. Don't get too dependent on one source of information. Know which boards are legit and which are scams. Many traveling providers will have reviews on boards more popular in their home region.

Eros.com is a scam. Legit providers will occasionally post there, but your odds are less than 5% and any legit provider will advertise elsewhere as well.

On BP, stolen pics are more common than not. Familiarize yourself with Google image search and Tin Eye.

Here's a take. Map out a plausible backstory. Many providers will ask questions about your occupation. Most aren't really curious but are trying to find a safe launching pad for the frequently awkward small talk that is part of a session.

There's really no advantage to getting into the details of your work unless it's a really generic occupation. If I had it do over, I would pick an imaginary occupation that overlaps with a subject I know something about.

"Babycakes, yours truly happens to be a Historical Research Librarian. Did you know Mark Antony was bisexual?" Now you've broken the ice with a nice segue.
