Question Chicago Must Sees?

I'm just looking for a list of must sees/dos while in Chicago. Like for a 1st time visitor.

Thanks!

Art Institute
Millennium Park
Second City
Sears Tower*
Wrigley Field
Architecture river tour
Steppenwolf theater

If you're shopping: Michigan ave, or if you want high end boutiques Oak Street, or independent boutiques trend towards Wicker Park

More restaurants that can be listed here but the top tourist food destination is pizza followed by steak houses.
Of those options I say Gino's east and Gene & Georgetti. Other's will have their own opinion.

Not Navy Pier if you're above the age of 12

If you plan to stay downtown, no need for a car. I Assume you will be driving in from Ohio....park it and then get it when you plan to go back as it will cost you a lot to park different places through out the day.

I would highly suggest the Architectural boat tour, however not sure if it is running this time of year and even if it is, it will probably be REALLY cold on the boat.

Plenty of museums if you like that.

You didn't ask about food? that is a pitty.

Yes I do mean the food too! I heard it is great food there and yes I am driving in from Ohio and I am not planning on staying downtown because I heard parking is very expensive. Thank you for the awesome suggestion about the boat tour!

The ball is in your court sir.

Food:
Chicago staples: Portillos for italian beef sandwich, Lou Malnati's for deep dish.

If you have specific cuisine you like, let us know and we can recommend restaurants.

No, no, no..... those are tourist staples. Mr Beef or if you must go franchise then Al's Beef.

If she want's fancy Italian then La Scarola or Volare in that order. Distant third is Rosebud. Place like RPM while good are more show than substance.

Saw that you'll be in oak brook. You HAVE to try labriola! Their tiramisu alone is worth the trip.
