A near misstep with Vocabulary

Yestreday was my work Christmas party. I had intended to bring my favorite UTR to the party and she was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, my lovely UTR also has PT issues, and when I arrived at her abode, I found her to be completely "out of it". I told her that I wasn't taking her anywhere and left for the party solo.
I had mentioned that I might be bringing a friend to some of my coworkers and they inquired as to why I had come alone.
I replied that she is a lovely girl but she has some (stutter and catch self) issues.
I had already pursed my lips to form the "P" in"PT". I'm sure I would have come up with some explanation of what "PT" is, but I was fortunate to have caught myself.
It is humorous how some of the board lexicon can nearly creep into daily life.

It appears that many of you are confused, or that I wrote something in a most confusing way.
My UTR is just that. We are longtime friends, some 20 years. She has a boyfriend. She sees me when one of us reaches out to the other. She sees no one else. I have indeed encouraged her to become a provider, but she has resisted for years. So, to call her an escort is inaccurate, and I see that I could have phrased that better.
And to get back on topic, the original question is:
Have you ever let board lexicon such as "PT" creep into your every day speech?

Again, I apologize fore the confusion, and perhaps someone should start a "Would you bring a hooker to a Christmas Party" thread.

I'd be more concerned about letting hobby related shorthand end up in a text message or email to someone out of the fold and being asked to define it.
