country king and queen
just getting away from the sports threads for a moment................since we have some texans invading the burgh forums, I thought it would make good chat to give opinions on who ranks as the greatest country singers past and present.....
now non country listening guys and gals can skip this thread instead of saying it sucks
my vote goes for patsy cline for female, best voice I ever heard
its tougher for the male star, alot to choose from, I'd have to pick between johnny cash or willy nelson but give it to the man in black
what say you?

Modern country music blows. Patsy Cline didn't blow. Well she probably did, but her music didn't.

Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Charley Daniels. Do the Allman Brothers count? Queens? How about Molley Cirus? Country twerking.

George Strait, then Cash are my favorites but some say Mr. Jones had the best voice. I like Loretta Lynn over Cline.
Like Sammie Kershaw songs. Gary Stewart in his prime could sing a good hard drinking honky tonk song. Ronnie Milsap was belting out the hits in my 20's when I was dragging those country girls home!

More of an R&B guy here.
But Willie Nelson might be one of the greatest country troubadours ever.
Hank Williams too. The ladies love Lyle Lovett.
Female singers? Loretta Lynn was pretty good. I thought Barbara Mandrell had a nice set of pipes as well as Emmylou Harris.
Music is music... It's all great. Even the kinds you think suck.

Yes she does
I was going old school. Kerrie Underwood is doing the Sound of Music live tonight. That chick has a good set of lungs and a nice booboo too.

I'm more of a ZZ Top fan. But as far as country, Jennifer Nettles gets my vote for female, Josh Turner, male
No Billy Currington
