Default Redbox Instant with Verizon

$8 with unlimted streaming and $4 to rent new releases. Anyone tried it?

I looked at their movies and frankly i was not impressed. I subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Redbox is pretty damn cheap to rent DVDs. In my opinion they have a long ways to go. Most of their movies are either old and nobody else wants them. Just my opinion. You can do a free trial.

I subscribe. Pretty much the same quality as Netflix but you also get 4 free DVDs a month from a Redbox kiosk.

Didn't look like the movies and TV shows were as up to date as Netflix. Well, Redbox didnt have the variety and number unless I missed something.

I have been doing Redbox for many years and new releases come pretty quick but the streaming is new and I don't know how well it will go. Have a Roku for Netflicks and it works well so the 4 free makes it $4 or $3 a month to start for the service compared to the $8 for Netflicks. So it saves money...what about the streaming Spanky? What do you use and is it effective and efficient?

I went into Redbox's sample list and it did seem less up to date but hard to tell unless I get the service then decide when I can see the full option of choices?

I tried Netflix for awhile, but didn't have the time to take full advantage of their services. I liked their streaming, but could only do it while at work because I only have a hotspot for home use and the downloads are limited. When I retire, I plan on dumping my satelite service and replacing with high speed internet for hulu or roku. I'm disappointed with the programming out there and don't watch much tv anymore. Redbox suits my needs for the infrequent times I make the effort to watch a movie. They are cheap and convienient. Have a box close to my office.

I use my Sony internet TV to stream. Seems to stream well for me and content is OK but not as up to date as it could be. I give it a "C+". The 4 free movies offsets the marginal streaming content.

The Roku is a gift to merge the net and TV usage. Mine was one of the originals and there may be other options on newer ones. Will have to see if there is a plug in for earphones.

There are many options on satelite/cable that can be purchased at a price through the net. And I think it would be cheaper. There are still a few "cheap" places to go watch movies in the theather.

What kind of connect does the TV have for internet? Cat 5 or 6? If so, it has something similar to the Roku built in. What model number? Expensive?
