You could, I suggest not. Just because you see her, doesn't necessarily mean you are one of the misguided souls. But the fact is I was responding to her and included a jab at her johns. Unfortunate, but not really that insulting. I am oft misguided and there are enough who would argue anyone frequenting these pages is misguided, as is similarly stated OSD's, who for some reason also felt insulted, signature line.

No chance on the lotto, I wouldn't buy a ticket, both because it is a poor investment and because I'm against state-supported efforts to promote gambling as a means to one's dreams.

But if I were to come to a point where money is no object, I can't honestly say I'd keep the same healthy view. When a man seeking a goal finds money he often stops seeking his goal, and I am a man.

Any of the commodities you mention have instances where men have spent unreasonably. I would be wrong to set limits on what a man can spend, but I do get to decide it for myself. With a house, a car, or a bottle of wine, the disparities are much greater. No amount of make-up, exercise, or wardrobe is going to make a Ford Escort into a Bentley, a bottle of Boone's into a fine Bordeaux, or a woodshed into the Taj Mahal. My limits, which incidentally are very similar to GBOF's, are set by the concept one can overspend satisfying base desires.

But if a guy overspends on a car, the car doesn't get GPS and tell all his car buddies they are worth more.

I would maintain it is not at all clear that I spend more on the hobby than someone like you. I would say the opposite is more likely, but in either case it is not clear simply from looking at the quantity.

I have considered you such an interesting figure on the board, I hope this type of illogical short cut isn't indicative of all your posts.
