Sorry to hear that, Callie. The America you love has been long since gone. It's very sad, but I wish you well wherever you go.

@Wakeup, no, a whore didn't call you empathetic and open minded. I did.
@Jewish Lawyer - Those are actually my plans in 3 years. I already have my sponsorship in place and am working on the rest of the country of my choices requirements to do so, ie; enough income in place prior to moving there to live for a year, obtaining a residency and the hardest one, which has been done, obtaining the sponsor
I don't want to be here when they finally put into place the National ID system, which thankfully New Hampshire and Wyoming have been able to shoot down so far, or any of the other long term plans they have for the citizens of this country. My Uncle actually lives in Tel Aviv, he was originally in the East for the peace talks, and decided he didn't want to come back here and that he was much happier in his new life there.
Every country has it's issues, but I want out of this one before I am told that I have lost that freedom to do so.

Good thing for us you have the freedom to leave. Hopefully once you get to Israel the United States will quit sending the country you have fled to weapons and financial aid and you can make it on your own without the United States help. Take Cute Old Cocksucker with you, I never heard a worse Chicken Little impression in my life!

Nice interpretation. Too bad it's about as accurate as your first post in this thread was proven to be.
First you rant about a claim that even you were forced to admit was factually inaccurate. Then you decide you want to blame Obamacare for the shut-down - while going on and on about the supposed irony that it's keeping people from a nutritious meal. Then, when it gets pointed out to you how utterly ridiculous it is to whine about someone not receiving 100% of the RDA of Vitamin C while blaming the efforts to allow those same people to have a means to pay for life saving treatments, you claim the shutdown isn't about Obamacare. When your own words to the contrary are presented to you, you then claim it is about Obamacare but only to the people who want to keep it in place. Then, when given a simple yes or no opportunity to defend that statement, you back out of the discussion.
You seem like a nice enough person to where i almost feel sorry for how foolish this whole conversation is making you look.
I will say this, if you're as adept at twisting yourself into a pretzel physically as you are intellectually, you must be one hell of a provider.

And given your level of consistency shown in this thread, given that you're against a National ID system, me guesses you're all for requiring a photo ID to vote. Am i right?

@WTF, it amazes me how people continue to just make assumptions based on what they want to read and twist, twist, twist. I never stated I was moving to Isreal. I stated my Uncle, who has been a key player in the Middle East talks moved there. I only stated that the country I have chosen has requirements to be met for me to move there.
While where I have actually chosen has many laws that are pretty rigorous on religions, and very specific requirements on Ex Pats moving there, it is not Isreal. You, as C7J, and Doove, continue to take words, that were not stated, and try to make them into my words and statements.
My Grandparents moved here to the US because of what was happening in Europe at the time they moved here. They didn't flee their country with no money, there is actually a documentary on their move to the US and what they accomplished here in the US on PBS. They moved here as a very well thought out and logical choice, and I as their granddaughter, am basing my choice on logic and the fact that I do not like what I see coming down the tubes for our country, and am actually privy because of family members and friends to other things that are in the works for our country and I don't like it. So instead of just grumping, moaning and groaning about it on a fuck board, I am choosing to be proactive in the choices for my life, as it is the only one I have been given, and not only talk the talk, but walk the talk.
A constant that I have noticed in this thread is this; everything has not only been twisted, words put into my mouth, but those of you who have done this, can't state your own opinions, which at least I have had the balls to do, but instead choose to trash me, put me down, but with no real thought process behind it.
And for the record, yes, I do believe that one should have to present some proof of who they are when voting. Just like I think that Obamas BC is fabricated, I know for a fact, my Aunt works closely in a division that has to do specifically with electoral votes, that people are paid to vote, and paid to vote more than once.
But no, I do not believe that we as a country should have one national ID. I believe that once we are to that point, we are teetering on the brink of national check points, and in reality, with the new RPS tracking software that is embedded in new tires, and all the facial recognition software out there that we are almost at that point already. LOL, not even to mention the software that IBM put out a few years ago that reads the scan codes on our CCs and IDs as we randomly walk through stores and on the streets of America.

Just out of curiosity, did any of you happen to hear Boehners speech yesterday? Or hear Obamas speech to Wall Street, where he very subtly threatened Wall Street? He is the first President in our country to ever try to evoke fear into the market as a subtle threat to how Wall St and our financial situation should be working. Just scary. Especially when you see how the market was performing during the first days of the shutdown, and how it reacted after his threats.

@ CuteOldGuy, You're right. The America I grew up loving, has long been gone, and it was slowly disappearing while all of us just looked on..... I loved this country, and I still do love a great part of it, and I know that there are many other countries out there that are much worse, but for what I want in life, there are countries out there that have more of what I am looking for and am able to make certain sacrifices on my part to live within their laws and structure to obtain the other things that I hold dear.
I know that our Constitution was written long ago, and that with time changes must occur, but there are some things in that Constitution that should never be changed. One of them is the anchor baby laws.... the way it is being changed, is one of the reasons we have such debt in our country. The other, free speech.... anyone remember last year when our Government tried in all Ernest to take away our right to free speech and to censor the Internet?

Well hot damn, we actually have a part of our system that has balls. The Pentagon has ordered most of their furloughed civilians back to jobs.
They found a loophole and they were able to make this decision based on their, the Pentagons, legal interpretation of a law called the "Pay our Military Act".

Really now. Just how does that rank with threatening (and following through on your threat) to shut down the country because you don't like a law that was legally enacted and legitimized by the Supreme Court?
And just for the record, what exactly did Obama say that wasn't accurate?

As stated, Doove, you take partial quotes, but make sure to leave out why I have made the statements I have, so that you can make it read how you want it to read. LMAO, your style reminds me of how the Jehovah's Witnesses rewrote the bible that they use. Changing meanings by omission.
LOL, and C7J- LMAO, God how you remind me of Hambone a little right now, except with one difference, I adored him.
