Being recognized

I posted in the Albany section about a recent experience I had when I was over 200 miles from home and ran into someone unexpectedly when finishing up an appointment at an AMP. It really shook my sense of how safe I am in hiding my activities.

My question is for providers that post face pictures. Even the larger communities in upstate New York are relatively small. I would assume if you have face pictures out on BP, a personal website, or even a showcase here on eccie, you would periodically be recognized when just being out in your home community, be it at the grocery store, pumping gas, or at a Chinese buffet. Personally, I'm glad that some ladies opt to post these. In my opinion it does work as a great marketing tool in most instances. But how do you handle being recognized in public spots when things can potentially get uncomfortable?

I am very careful with my face the photographer I have used out of Erie really washes me out with flash he does the whole super bright flash with those auto flash things on tripods synced all around.
Face pictures are amazing for marketing.

I used to advertise with completely unblurred pics and though thank goodness no not-so-bright cookie never approached me (i'm sure now even with a medium blur on my photos it might not be too hard for some creepy nerd to undo that). I had a few instances of someone mentioning to me (via email or phone call back when I answered for any ol' body) they saw me in a bunch of different places. I think back then if someone had called me out in public by by "stage name" and/or approached me it wouldn't have gone well at all. When I'm out in public i'm ME (as in not 'Mocha') ..... I don't wear my ho-sona 24/7.
