I had a regular of mine call to have me give him a reference for another lady. I know who the lady is and I proceeded to let him know that she up-sales up the butt. Needless to say I pissed the lady off and was told ladies like us ruin their business by not up-selling. LMFAO
So was I in the wrong for warning the client? Would you want to be told?

I say if you want to up sell, work at a SC. I'd prefer to know, Y. I don't want to talk $ AT ALL when I'm actually at the appt. Not safe and i don't want them giving me numbers for activities in person, especially someone I don't know!

Too me there's two kinds of folks in this business and you may think I'm goofy but I'll say it anyway... (It's just MHO!) We all know the ladies are in it for the money but some truly enjoy doing this and they get to obtain some cash while doing so. For others, it's simply business... Or at least they run it that way and that's their right!! However, I think at least some of us guys prefer to be treated like men (I said SOME!) and even if it's just a great ACT, we like to be told yes, that feels good and you are the best at that, etc! When a lady is standing there saying, that's More money, thats more money, THAT is more money.. welll.. THAT gets old VERY fast! And yes, we want to know going in. The world goes round with all of us in it but some of us choose different paths than others...

Anyway, thats my 2 cents...

Sorry it didn't work out for your client. Truth is upsell usually doesn't work out well for the client - who the hell knows what to bring to a meeting with a gal who upsells.

I agree knowing in advance - of upselling - is important and the client should appreciate Y cluing him in.

If a lady indicates in her ad that "other services" are negotiable - I know there's an upsell and if I can nail it down (pun intended) by reading reviews - it may not be as big an issue.

I would prefer to know and if I was STUPID enough not to heed your warning I certainly wouldn't have drug your name into the conversation after I got up sold.

I would be more pissed at the client than at the escort. Had he shut his mouth you wouldn't have needed to post anything. Some guys are just slow learners.

Since he shared your private conversation with her and she is pissed you probably shouldn't give her references or take them from her either.

Ran across an agency-based provider once on P411 who listed her "activities." When I visited with her I learned her BBBJ was $50 extra, and Greek was $200 extra (WTF!). When I complained to the agency they said it was pretty standard. I was a newbie. I believed them.

Needless to say that was WAY before joining ECCIE. They'd both get a HUGE "No" recommendation today - on ECCIE, TER, NR, and any place else I could think to post.

I think we've all heard of the provider who, having been called for a reference, immediately called the client and offered him a better deal so as to freeze out the provider asking for a reference.
On the other hand, I have providers I've known for years who know I'm never going to see them for any of a variety of reasons who, when asked about another lady, tell their version of the truth and probably more than I asked.
Judgement it what it takes and if you have it, great. If you don't, God help you.

He did not tell her what I said. When she called me for the references I asked her. I said I hear you up-sale and it pissed her off. Not that I really care I pissed her off. I don't judge other providers not my job. I just think it is pretty risky and stupid to up-sell good way to go spend the night in a little room.

Anyone that knows me knows I'm not afraid of saying whats on my mind to the person that it needs to be said to.

As for stabbing another provider in the back, not my style. I have never gave a reference then call the guy myself. I don't need to! In fact I am more than happy to refer clients to other ladies.

Unexpected upselling is one of the quickest ways to a disappointing date (probably tied with old pics and behind safety issues/nasty hygiene).

So IMO a client deserves to know what his expected gift is to make her happy so that he will be happy.
