Default Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane

What's it like here? Is the action good and the place worth a visit?

I'm itching to play some craps and this would be the closest option from OKC.

Also their steakhouse has a really decent menu. I could go for the wood fired steak au poivre and maybe a lobster tail.

Default Give it a shot

I like it. The machines are very tight. It's roomy and clean--but on weekends will be packed. The woodfire grille is excellent--like it better than any of the Wichita places--have to have a reservation on weekends.

Craps is probably the only okay game to play there. As stated above the slots are very tight.
Don't eat at the buffet, its expensive and the food is mediocre at best.
Super busy on the weekends and perty smokie. As a smoker, I notice the smell.
Other than those things, it's okay.
I like KC casinos better

Thursday nights the buffet is $12 and they give you $10 free play. Turned that $10 into around $300 one night.

I've stayed at the Hampton next door a few times and there is not really anywhere else to eat other than the casino.

The casino itself is smaller than most, but has the same games and same odds as the standard casinos. Not like the rip-off payoffs that some of the Indian reservation casinos have.

If it's close to you, its not worth the drive to go to a KC casino, not a big enough difference.

Went there about a year ago just passing through from OK. It was literally in the middle of nowhere, and none of the restaurants were open yet. I think we ended up eating at the Golden Corral in Topeka.

It was still under construction at that time. The middle of nowhere is typical, but it's only about 15 miles or so south outside of Wichita on the Turnpike, so that's the equivalent of about 10 minutes at Turnpike speeds.
