Agree with this thread expect for the part praising Pryor. He flip flops around on this issue based on whether his party needs his vote and if an election is coming up. His NRA rating is usually around a C or D. I bet his flips right back to voting for gun control once his re-election is over.

What freedom do we think we have when the government can criminalize consensual sex. With all the freedoms that we are losing in this country, I don't get how background checks are even an issue. The first, third, fourth, fifth, eighth, ninth, and tenth amendments have been seriously diluted and most people don't care. They even support it. But controlling access to guns by criminals and the mentally disturbed. That everyone gets worked up about.

To be fair they aren't criminalizing consnsual sex they are criminalizing the act of exchanging money for it. People get worked up over the gun laws because that is the only course of freedom from tyranny we have when the attempts to take our other amendments and freedoms are tried. As a last resort sometimes it takes force with force and if guns are taken away from everyone except the government its a one sided battle that John Q will lose.
