Damn, sorry Staci for your loss. I think most people prefer to pass away in their sleep. And as you said, you were hoping he would when the time came. That is the most peaceful and tranquil way to go. Losing a parent is one of the toughest things to handle in life. My condolences to you.

Seriously, with the loss of a loved one comes the reminder to us all on how to live. In my personal moments of grief, it is knowing how those who have moved on changed me that give me the greatest comfort.

We honored him with a beautiful service yesterday and I am at peace with it all now.
