GG, that's not what I've heard reported, if you listen to news other than FOX. The terms Patriot and tea party were targeted names NOT because they tend to be republican oriented, but because they were politically oriented. But of course FOX is a joke as a news source!

Good lord. I swear, Obama could be caught on camera beating an old lady with a sack full of puppies and people would come to his defense. Pretending that these organizations weren't targeted because they were conservative oriented is laughable. I'm sure there is a long list of liberal leaning organizations that were targeted as well right?

I have no idea how high this goes, but if I hear Obama say "I heard about it on the news just like you did" one more time, I'm going to throw up.

Also, it appears you don't have to file to be a 501(c)(4) - you just have to declare that you are a social welfare organization. The Koch brothers are a social welfare sponsor? Perhaps at their level of society, but not mine, or for other that truly need a boost. Their organization was not even looked at because it never filed - it just declared itself to be a 501(c)(4) and went on its merry way. IMHO they all need to examined, as well as religious organizations that preach politics from the pulpit.
