Need some advice and outside opinion, what to do???
Ok so about two months ago this gent asked to see me I screened him and all and I he was cleared. He came and parked out on the side street, came in and looked around and then like 5 mins later said he for got the money in the car,( no services were provided yet) he never came back. I called him and asked if everything was ok, he said some kids on bikes robbed his car, he left his nice car on side street with 140 sitting in the middle cup holder unlocked, ok, so I basically scared the shit out of the kids on my street and was pissed thinking great this could be bad. I apologized and told him that thats never happened before, (and hasnt to this day). I told him that if he decided to come back that I would give him some type of discount, 10 or so mins went by he calls and says he wants to come back and that he wants a bbbj for 20.00, I told him I had to deal with neighbors and all first off since now there was a big feud with me and the neighbors which I just moved in and well in my profession I dont need nosey neighbors pissed at me and all. He said ok. About a month later he calls me while I am driving and I told him to please give me like 30 mins to get home and thru traffic, never heard from him again, about now three weeks later he is calling me again and now he wants the discount still. I have talked to a couple others mods, hobbiest and a couple providers and they said that it seems weird that a person would park there nice car on the side street with so much money unlocked, now he told me thats the first time hed left his car unlocked. They also said that it was weird after losing 140 dollars and all that he would willing come back so fast not even mad or worried about the drama and then wanting a 20.00 bbbj. Now I feel like hes trying to pull something almost 2 months later and now you want a discount for that. Does anyone else think this sounds wrong, I dont want to be taken advantage of but I would feel bad if it really did happen and I was just like fuck it!!! My gut is saying hes pulling something, but my brain is saying what if......
What should I do ????

The problem I am having also with this is that my neighbors kids still swear that they didnt touch his car, I leave money and laptops and all in my car unlocked cause one door doesnt lock and I rather them not break windows if need be, and I have never had anyone steal from me, the neighbors have helped me when windows are down and its raining or when I leave my car lights on they will come and tell me and even jump start me if they were on to long and all, I dont know if this is his M.O. or what wondering if its ever been pulled on anyone else and hes gotten away with it before and thats his come up or what. Sounds weird to me.

my opinion
My money is always on my mind. If I lost a bill forty I would be pissed. Not really in the mood for meeting someone. Defiantly would not still wanting to hang out right after. Now I say go with your gut. It's not your fault like RR said . But seems fishy as hell. And further more do you really want to deal with someone that scatter brained. Dealing with that type has been known to get people in trouble.

This fellow sounds like either a liar or a fool. I think anyone would do well, as a general practice, to avoid both types.
That means no 20 BJ.

I am betting there never was any money in his car and it was his way of making you feel bad for him and want to give him a "cheap cheap I feel sorry for you date"

Out of kindness you offered the discount. A month later he calls to collect but flakes for another three weeks just as you're about to make good on the offer.
He doesn't respect your time at best and he's a scammer at worst.
Either way his window of opportunity is Closed!

As far as the kids go , they would likely lie to save their asses . However in this case I believe them , and you should definitely not get into any beefs with the neighbors over this . I would let it drop , be nice to the neighbors , and hopefully it all gets chalked up to a misunderstanding on both sides !

Detach, Let him go, and be a good neighbor.
I cannot think of one scenario where this guy will do you any good AND if he was indeed robbed he had ways to report it (officially or unofficially).

I agree with what has been said. Who leaves money in their car these days??? Who leaves money in their car and does not lock it. Weird!!!!! That was his deal and you were nice enough to give a discount. On that note, that was simple because you are a nice person, and not owed to him
I do however think if a provider has been with a hobbies a few times and offers a new rate. That is the new rate to stand by.
In your situation, that is not the case at all. You were compensating him for the situation. Like if you go to a restaurant and something is bad, something will be comped. That is not the new rate for the restaurant
lol YES!!!
