Private messages and policies regarding mod accessibility
What are the appropriate instances where a mod can justify reading the pms between providers and clients? If pms are being accessed in such a manner is there a sanction they must uphold in order to justify the reasoning behind the action? Also... if a mod if found to have accessed the pms and there is no just cause for it what are the accounabilities and is this action one that can be investigated and/or proven? Thank you.

We have zero access to your private messages. What kind of problem are you experiencing?
The only way that a message becomes accessible to us, is if the recipient hits the RTM button. That is the recipient's option if the sender is abusing the PM system (harassment, doing things that are not allowed by the forum guidelines, etc).

I also own/admin a forum that is run on the same software as this forum (vBulletin) and I can assure you that admins/mods have no method of reading your private messages or seeing your passwords, other than changing your password and then logging in to your account. And if that happened, you'd know it because you couldn't log in to your own account. And they cannot change the password back to what it was because they cannot see what your current password is.
Long story short - don't worry, no one can read your PMs.

So...if I have a PM harassing me and I hit the RTM ( ) button, will the MOD only have access to that one PM or all my PMs?

GL - if you're not confident your pm-s are secure here, I'd consider moving your private communications to another venue. Thinking anything on the Internet is private is not a good assumption to start with.
Not meant as a criticism, just a constructive suggestion. Having said that, I'd be interested in what your concerns are... PM me :-)

Moderators don't have the access to read your private messages. This source of yours... is not giving you good advice. They may be able to do so on other boards, but it's not possible for moderators to do so on this board.

Sigh. Sadly enough I have discovered that certain mods here ( former one included ) granted a female their login info and actually laughed as she logged in as each of them in the presence of this member. Now... the question is does this require higher power notification to be investigated? I mean obviously the ip addresses are able to be traced back and hopefully by a time span of 6 months or more.
To be honest I find it disgraceful that those set to guide us and uphold the ri_ules would dare to break them and compromise site security by such a sad action... but it does explain a lot as far as why certain aspects are overlooked on the behalf of some... but immediate whistle blowing then becomes an issue for those such as myself whom happen to be a target in a cliqe led by a female who deactivated her account here... to be engaged... yet still advertises herself on twitter... p4 and other escort related sites.
I fully intend to investigate this via the higher channels as I am completley disgusted that I have been subject to a complete gang bang of bad ginger smear campaigns including one leading to an outing in my place of residence.
You don't have to like me as a mod or male member... but tou are required to follow the rules you are so quick to reprimand others about... mods are here for a reason... and some free taik or whatver the benefit may be... is not allowable via rules of the site...
I sure hope the shit dies down and I can just do my thing without fear of regalliation. Blackppr stated I have a tone of shit coming my eay soon... threats like that really piss me off.

Hearsay.
The person who observed this first hand should have done/reported.
She obviously didn't for a reason.
Have enough third party, people who know people, friend of a friend disinformation going on.
Will the Horses' mouth please step up.
