Default Respect ...

I only have a few minutes and then I am off to the races ... no pun intended

I had my money on Onyx but he was SCRATCHED
So I have $ on Normandy Invasion 8/1 ridden by Javier Castellano, Verrazano 11/1 ridden by John Velazquez and Orb 6/1 ridden by Joel Rosario.

But enough of how I piss my money away ...

When I started the review thread asking about people perceptions about the content of the reviews and the YES/NO recommendations and stated that either way the reviews were of value to the board as long as they were not nasty/disrespectful/condescending/blah blah blah ... some of the responses in the thread were amazing and some were just play ridiculous!

If we can't be respectful of one another then there is an issue! Both players in this hobby have a responsibility first and foremost to themselves and those they care about most and then to the business at hand.

If a lady is unprepared has poor TCB skills misrepresents herself I find that disrespectful of me, my time, my money. But if a hobbyiest comes unprepared, no call/no show's, is a jerk to the lady then I hope that she will chose not to see him because he was not the type of person that she wishes to do business with. But when people start slamming one another publicly then thats when I take serious issue and so should we all!

Please be respectful of each other!

DD

pyramider,

Respect like trust is earned and once it is blown ... it takes a heck of a long time to get back!

BUT ... Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice ...

I will settle for some mutual courtesy and empathy.

In terms of a commodity, I agree. One earns respect and uses it as power if possible.

But I also feel there is respect that doesn't have to be earned, but is just the natural result of being alive. This respect can be lost, but no one should have to earn respect just to be considered human.

EVERYONE Deserves RESPECT ... but it is up to the individual whether they continue to get it or lose it!

alls i can think of

is

this is like one of those boring team meetings i used to have to attend when i actually worked for a company

(and noah,,,, not the diversity or sexual herASSmeant meet and greets we always seem to stumble into)

nothing ever came of them as people are who they are

boring as all get out though

ooohhh, the humanity

isnt this like the 5000000 time this subject gets breached ?

And I am sure that it won't be the last! Hopefully the last from me so that someone else can broach the subject if it becomes necessary! I believe that it will be nice when more people recognize that you get what you put into the board! and recognize the fact that being respectful is a more positive and productive way of handling yourself and business!

Again that is just my HONEST opinion and we are ALL entitled to our own views ... of course the impact of disrespect, negativity, and nastiness is felt by the one who does these things for a long time!

But then this is after all, just fun and games and make believe! But its always smarter to be respectful ... even in this fantasy land!
