Default 40 minutes...

I was just watching the news in here the wee hours of the morning. The story of the discovery of the younger of the two men accused of the Boston Massacre is as follows (according to the news); the owner looked outside into his backyard and saw that his boat wrap was disturbed. His wife saw it first and told her husband. He approached the boat and thought he saw blood on the disturbed wrap. He got a short ladder and climbed up the side of the boat. Peering over the side he thought he saw a body and he did see a puddle of blood in the bottom of the boat. Realizing what he had he jumped down and ran for the house. He called the police and he and his wife abandoned the house leaving their cell phones behind. It took 40 minutes for the police to find the house and the boat in the back. 40 minutes! They have always said that when seconds count the police are minutes away. If the news is accurate then this is a solid demonstration of that truism. Boston and Massachusetts have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Ironic, that the 19th of April marks the anniversary of the colonists fighting back against the British trying to take their weapons. What if this armed, accused terrorist decided that it was safer to be in the house instead of in the boat? What would the homeowner do in that case?

30-40 minutes is pretty good response time for a SWAT team to respond .......

......effectively, ....

.... even when on alert.

And if I call 911 on my cell phone, leave the line open, LE can find it.

They leave the phones behind .did they give a address when they called? Did it take that long for the cell phone provider to give the police the location of the phones? You need some facts before you blame the police. But being JD Jackoff facts avoid you like the plague..

Yeah, I bet the Boston police weren't getting any other calls about this shit.

By the way, are you saying that the citizens of Massachussetts aren't allowed to own firearms and completely lack the capacity to defend themselves against home invasions? Because that is complete bullshit. Mass has restrictions, but any law abiding citizen wanting a firearm for hunting, or self-defense, can obtain one. Take your NRA lies and peddle them somewhere else.

No Timmy, what I said was that Massachusetts had some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. I DID NOT say that they could not own guns. They make it very difficult and most of the people don't own guns (according to polls) in Massachusetts.
The report had no information about the owner having a gun, nor did it say whether they gave the address but I would suspect that since they did call the police before they left that the police had the address. I mention the 40 minute response time because of the surplus of LE and the activity level. I would think the response time would have been much quicker. Still, you still resist answering the question.

Typical RWW post.

Bash the police. Bash the response time. Bash ANY gun legislation, rational or not. The original topic is actually immaterial to you and many others, isn't it?

If the home owners could have had guns but chose not to, are you now going to start a campaign that they should be FORCED to have guns? Why don't you find out the situation before yet another stupid gun rant. Oh, but I forget, RWWs don't need facts to rant (neither do LWWs, but I don't see a LWW post here so thus my apparent bias against one type of wacko).

How many calls had the SWAT folks responded to that night? Where were the units at the time? Do YOU know the timeline to 40 minutes? I suspect not, but again what does a RWW zealot need timelines and facts for? If they don't fit your view you'll ignore them anyway and make up your own, won't you.

I saw a tape of the SWAT Team responding at the scene with a salvo of gunfire, I'm guessing 100 rounds more or less. If they were shooting at the suspect hiding in the boat chances are pretty good the boats owner wont be spending too much time at the lake this summer in that boat

I would bet good money that the "cell phone provider" wouldn't have to give "the police" any information ... a 911 call in that area blew the lid off the alarms at DHS ... with a direct secure line to "command" ... and a location by GPS location within a matter of second. The already had "air cover" with heat imaging capability ... I think they pulled the stops on this one ... and we won't every know all of it.

the end result is the only thing that really counts, bitching about 40 minutes or 40 hours is a moot point.

It took Adam Lanza about 10 minutes to kill all the children and teachers in his attack.

If he had a knife it would have taken him longer. However the right wants all mentally disturbed to be able to have weapons that hold at least 30 rounds.
