Again, unless you took zero deductions....do you really not see the irony in your whining about this? Seriously?

And complaining about "name calling" in the same post where you refer to "dumbed down" voters supporting Obama....again, irony much?

While I am not in the $600k tax bracket, I paid 18% this year.

I feel it is a representative amount especially in light of the fact that he had over $150k in verifiable donations to charitable organizations!

I can't help but wonder Jackie, did you complain about GW taking tax deductions while he was the Prez?

Or is it just an Obama thing?

You know, if we didn't have the income tax, we wouldn't all be so concerned about who is paying what, and why.

Perhaps you can convince your fellow Syrians of the no income tax concept when you finally set foot in Beautiful Downtown Damascus.

Don't forget to write occasionally! Special emphasis on "occasionally."

I have short formed my Income Taxes for over 25 years.

about 90 percent of my income last year was earned,

I did not complain about President Bush's deductions because he did not spend an entire campain demonizing and lying to the American Public about those that do take them.

Obama did not demonize people that that take deductions. He pointed out how fuc'd up the tax system is. Don't you think we should close loophole and bring down the tax rate? People cry about high coperate tax rates yet some companies pay pennies on the dollar. Which is really fuc'd up because then folks like you bitch about high tax rates , that in fact are not really that high if you use the loopholes!

WTF? Why do ya'll lie about what actually happened? Warren Buffet did the same thing, he pointed out how unequal they are. He also thinks the tax system needs to be overhauled. But until then , you play by the rules in place. Congress has the abality to change the tax laws, not Obama.

You are starting to sound as looney as Sins of the Flesh or what ever her handle is.

Read the first paragraph in the link. It is almost like it was written especially for the type of campain President Obama ran. He fits the classic definition of a Demagogue.

WTF, I respect your views most of the time, but in this case you are falling into that trap of not recognizing exactly what kind of Person the President is.

Seriously, I do not think Obama is better (or worse) than any other politician. No Obama worship here. I do agree with him though on the issue of tax reform. I do not think he should be raked over the coals because of his lawful tax rate he paid. It should be an example of why we in fact do need to overhaul the tax system. He should pay a higher rate!

Are you honestly dumb enough to think that people didn't realize Obama was also talking about himself when he said the rich don't pay enough in taxes?

This thread says more about what type of people his detractors are than it says about what type of person he is.

Tex, tex, tex...Bush didn't complain about how rich people didn't pay their fair share, Obama does. So it is hypocritical for Obama to skirt his fair responsibility while Bush did what we all do. How much did Bush donate to charity? You wanted to be fair and you say you want to be fair. You brought up Bush so close the circle, how much did his family give to charity?

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/..._s=PM:POLITICS
here is something to get you started Bush made $719,000 in 2007, paid 30.8% in taxes, donated $165,660 to charity.
How about 2010; Bush paid 17.6% to charity whilst Obama paid 5.6% http://dailycaller.com/2010/04/16/on...itable-giving/

JD, do you understand where Bush received the majority of his wealth? By getting the public to build the Texas Rangers a baseball field which increased their revenue stream and worth. Now back to the subject, people are not hypocritical for want to change the tax laws, yet still abide by current law. That is flat out ignorant thinking to say so.

Be like saying that you are a hypocrite for calling abortion murder and doing nothing physically to stop it. If I really thought that someone was killing babies, I would go kill the mother fucker, not rant and rave on a hooker board.

should Romney (et al) pay less taxes than a person making 600K a year is a better question
