Theres a saying known to the earth that everything in Texas is bigger and better and I'm quite certain your rack can back that. KC BBQ is good but is hit or miss everyday depending on the times U go. An Okie joes has nothing on a Peaks Lodge or Rudys and those are just the begining of Texas Bbq. Having said that I have ate Okie Joes over 500x. Check the flavor that I'm bringing.

Get one sandwich Togo it can feed two or three people.

Bryant's is great if you want brisket. I'd pass on the fries, though.

Best,
Noah

Fair enough, but no one has mentioned dives like Rosedale's on Southwest Blvd.

Cheap and good. Combo beef and pork, crispy fries and an RC, for less than a #2 combo at BK.

Plus, back in the day there used to be a free-for-all strip club next door.

Now, BBQ in KC is a genteel thing where you need to wear a sportcoat and there are cloth napkins on the table, which is sad when you think about it.

Even Bates City BBQ has a new paint job. Still good, but not how BBQ was intended.

Best,
Noah

DR you and Paven and all of the lovely ladies of Texas are welcome to visit and sample what KC has to offer. Just let us know when you're coming and you should have lots of kind gentlemen lining up to guide you through it all.

Any tips on mom and pop types of diners, burger joints and a good place for a slice of pie?

I've tried both KC and Texas BBQ and Texas had way more girls offering it than KC does. If I was thinking who the best BBQ girls were here I'd have to start with.............Oh wait. You mean BBQ food. Oh yeah ok I guess there's some decent ones here.

That's a good start. There's better in KC, but you'd probably need a guide to know where to go.

Better than Texas beef ribs, in any case.

Best,
Noah

I was in a BBQ coma after all of that lol.

I eat brisket in Texas. I'll be back next month to investigate some more.
