I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/aa/PDF...cans_final.pdf

"In 2010, black men accounted for 70% (14,700) of the estimated 20,900 new HIV infections among all adult and adolescent blacks. The estimated rate of new HIV infection for black men (103.6/100,000 population) was seven times as high as that of white men, twice as high as that of Latino men, and nearly three times as high as among black women."

Do you think I was making this up? I've brought this up before. You can wish it not to be true, dispute the numbers, or say that it isn't important, but the HIV infection rate is staggeringly higher for AA males.

I wonder what the percentage comparisons, on HIVstats of on men practicing safe sex vs non safe sex????
And I'll be the first to admit, the current thinking of HIV is not something I've stayed up on. But does not the practice of safe sex play a major deterrent in spreading HIV, in terms of hobby play?? Even if one partner is HIV pos???

And of course, the really big stat.....

I wonder what the percentage comparisons, on HIV stats, of men using needles in drug use vs non needle drug use, again further lower the number of needle using black males from playing in hobby land, above street level hooking.???

And finally, granted that the black male is the highest HIV group....but still, what percentage of African American males, due in fact have HIV???

Also since above link also discusses that the level of poverty has a major role in HIV status....I'm thinking that level of population
is not going to venture into this level of hobbyland, but more at a street level hooking???...

Just a couple thoughts I would throw out there

from I recall from skool and what I find online, vaginal sex without a condom it is still rare to get HIV, with a condom, rates go even lower, etc
so want to prevent getting HIV from someone who has it?
use a condom
dont use their ass

I have only heard of one report that tried to quantify the risk of HIV transmission through a single act of intercourse. The source is "K.M. Stone, HIV, STD's, And Other Barriers. In Barrier Contraceptives, Current Status and Future Prospects, 1994". According to this source, the estimated chance of infection from one partner to the other during a single act of intercourse is 0.1% to 20% for male-to-female transmission, and 0.01% to 10% chance for female-to-male transmission.
