Kshunter...I think we have been Eccie members for about the same length of time. And I hear what you are saying, that's why we probably have a large amount of lurkers and infrequent posters, who are truly using this board solely for getting laid. Which is totally cool.
But the real truth is, the most popular threads, both in terms of posting and viewing, include comments far beyond "just getting laid".
Hell, I would not even include most of this "extra chatter" to high school stuff...because, at least when I was in HS, most of this stuff would not have flown.
But the drama, humor and all that other stuff draws lots of attention for various reasons.
For any of us to say this stuff isn't popular...right or wrong...is really not acknowledging one of the reasons this board has a level of entertainment value, beyond just getting laid.
Some people need to learn where to draw the line, in terms of being too open on their (or others) personal stuff. Some people need to learn, when they make certain type of remarks...they will get a reaction, so stop with the "poor me" nonsense.
And then many need to realize, it's SHMB...if you don't like certain threads, avoid them. If you don't like certain posters...ignore them. (YOU
being used in the general sense, not specifically aimed at KsHunter).
But the main thing is, no one should get their feeling all hurt at any given time. If something does not strike you well....just lurk for awhile, something new is always coming up, lol
