http://public.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/catched.html

Ok I think I understand now: Sometimes it`s the improper spelling, and sometimes it`s a mixture of different words, that is used in that "map" of how to miss spell (haha).

So, there is no word "catched" but it`s just a wrong for "Caught". I was wondering, whether this word exists, and then found it`s the spelling error. The site is a little misleading in that sense, sometimes it uses spelling errors as comparison, sometimes similar wordings. Bummer

The one thing that makes me crazy is folks who don't know how to use their pronouns. Too many people say things like "It was just he and I" when they should be saying "It was just him and me."
-
Rule of thumb: Remove one of the pronouns and the conjunction, and you'll know whether to say 'I' or 'Me.' In the aforementioned example, you wouldn't say "It was just I," you'd say "It was just me," so when you add the conjunction and the second pronoun, you get "It was just him and me."

The one that bugs the crap out of me is made up words that have a perfectly good real word. "Conversate" is the one that gets me. The word is "converse."

Not a bad rule of thumb, provided you get the first pronoun right. Check out Grammar Girl's discussion of "It Is I" Versus "It Is Me".

By seeing providers who write "No Block Calls". WTF is a Block call? Is it a party line where everybody on the block gets on the phone and say "Hi"?

The correct terminology is "No Blocked Calls"! Geesh!

Or 420 friendly. Why not this: "I don't mind your bringing one of the Seven Dwarfs as long as it isn't Sneezy, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Bashful or Doc."?

My favorite one is discreet / discrete.

They are actually quite different.

dis·creet
Adjective
Careful and circumspect in one's speech or actions, esp. to avoid causing offense or to gain an advantage.
Intentionally unobtrusive.
Synonyms
circumspect - prudent - cautious - wary - chary - careful

dis·crete
Adjective
Individually separate and distinct.
Synonyms
separate - detached - distinct - abstract

I can't say how many times I have seen a lady's website assuring me that she is discrete. Because I certainly would not want to date a co-joined twin.
