Not at all. I can go to the zoo and identify a giraffe even though I am not one. And lots of folks on this thread can identify you as somoene blindly putting forth arguments that make no sense. All you have done in this entire thread--and in previous threads if I recall correctly--is display a very poor understanding of biology, probability, physics, and engineering.

I agree. I was just making the point that everything is a blessing and curse at the same time. Advanced civilization has certainly made our lives better in countless ways, but at the same time, there's a lot stress that goes along with it.

On this we agree...every ying has its yang.

Way of life is really a personal preference. Just because exNYer does not want to live a simple life does not equate to everybody. One is not better than the other. Like I said , it is just personal preference.

That's right; it's Yin and Yang. Nothing is all good or all bad.

Me? I think you have me confused with yourself and other creationists.

Any "claim" I have made in this thread is a repeat of what evolutionary scientists have said or anthropologists have said. And their "claims" are a lot better established than any of the BS posted by you or WE1911.

No, it was a big step. But BOTH events occurred in the modern era when we already had mass communication, industrialization and money to spend on research.

So the Wright brothers invention was widely publicized in a matter of days, their device was copied and improved on by many others, including big companies that could spend money on better parts and larger aircraft bodies.

And THOSE improvements were also widely publicized and improve upon. The knowledge of mankind is expanding far more rapidly than in the past. So new inventions come along a LOT faster.

Except among Biblical literalists.

I love some of the arguments here...

"Science can't explain everything! No one can explain to me how blahblahblah happens so it MUST be GOD!"

That's the beauty of science. Reasoning & research... conclusions are NOT drawn out of pages out of a book designed for social control.

You'd do well to remember that for several millennium science and religion were inseparable and the same, and that what you today call “incontrovertible scientific fact” may be as derisively dismissed in the distant future much as the “science” of phrenology of the 19th century is scoffed at today.

It would be nice and simple if science could explain everything. It can't.

Einstein believed in God, not a personal anthropomorphic God, but God, as in the intelligence that is the fabric of the universe. His views were similar to the religious beliefs of Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.

"I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals himself in the harmony of all that exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fate and the doings of mankind." Albert Einstein

I apologize that my comment was a little rushed and didn't completely flesh out the meat & potatoes of what I wanted to say. I actually agree with your statement. I'm not siding with any "scientific fact" in particular here. Merely that simply basing things so complex and its "creation", to a book designed to control behavior is insane. And the ignorance of the people that say "well, I can't understand it, so GOD must have put it here...it's too complicated for ANY other explanation to be true."
