Why are girls getting away from posting numbers?

I was under the assumption that many providers purchase two different phones nowadays. One for personal, and one for hobbying. That would be a smart move if they are worried about privacy.

With the many available FREE services like GOOGLE VOICE, there is no need to lug around 2 phones anymore, if you need privacy just unlink GV when not available and return calls at your convenience. Anyone using a direct personal line is only asking for trouble.

This goes for both clients and providers. Discretion is EVERYONE's responsibility.

Googlevoice has inherent problems , it sometimes without warning gives out your true number . It also doesn't at times give you notification when being texted . Doesn't matter that you have setting done correctly , it's a software glitch , that many experience . That's why many choose to lug around the hobby and personal phone .

Yeah my gv gives me problems all the time but the main reason I stopped posting a # is because of the creeps who would text me for appts & would say they were _____ on ECCIE but never sent a PM.

Since these are all out in public view, I could text someone and say "hey this is kSoze from ECCIE", schedule, and if they don't check the PM...

Send me a PM, you get a number.

Also it has DRAMATICALLY lowered the number of requests I get for bb.

I have never posted a number, I am one of those you must email and pm me first gals, I do insist on speaking on the phone after receiving your inquiry. It would drive me nutz if I had to deal with knuckleheads calling me all day asking me stuff that's plain as day on my website or being lewd or lascivious. I don't have time for bullshit.

I have had a few problems with GV, but not a lot. It really depends on your data connectivity. If you have good 4G service, I've found it pretty reliable. Also, I've had tons of trouble sending Eccie pms with my phone's browser. In fact, it doesn't work most of the time & just acts flaky. It cost me & a provider an appointment on Monday since after initial screening she said that she needed me to send a pm to seal the deal. I tried but couldn't until I got checked into the hotel to use my laptop & by that time, she had scheduled with someone else.

A mobile Eccie app would be awesome... but somehow I'm betting Apple wouldn't let it in iTunes but I'd bet it could get into the Google Play Android market. The Eccie site isn't very "mobile-friendly" right now.

You make some vaild points about GV but here is how to resolve ALL of them.

UNLINK your cell phone and just use GV as a catch for all calls. Monitor your calls and texting online or using the App return calls+txts on your terms and at your convenience.

That's good to know ! As a hobbyist , that certainly resolves all problems . However I can see that being a slight problem for providers . When I call a provider with a number listed , If I get voicemail , I don't leave a message , because I'm already calling another provider . So they would be potentially losing clientele . Yes , it is impatience , but when searching you really can't wait around for a call to be returned , more often than not you do not receive one . That's how I came to see Asian Polly instead of Ms. Lacy . Lacy returned call , but 8 hrs later , I had already driven to Austin , had appt , drove home and recieved reply a couple hrs after that .

If you use your "provider" phone number for "real world" contacts, you're going to get burned sooner or later.

Even if it's your "secret" "trusted" clients only provider number.

Girls, if you plan on using GV as a catch all for screening make sure to monitor your calls closely (using the app or with txt notification to your "real phone") calling clients back past 1hr will be frowned upon and could cost your business in the future.

But guys, give the girls a little slack.. it's ignorant to assume that they are sitting around staring at the phone waiting for "your call" to come in, they have lives too or are just "fucking" someone else at the moment.

And if you happen to be the lucky guy being fucked at the time.. I am sure you would NOT appreciate her picking up the call RIGHT?

There are providers who text/call while being fucked (see certain reviews).... so it's doable...
But then, you may not want to go in anyway ....

I feel your pain. Traveling and hobbying at the same time is not easy. We could start an entire thread.

I don't expect people to be sitting around waiting for my call, but I also know that when I arrive in a town, my "work" plans can be altered by someone else. I never schedule before I know I'm free for the evening. That means always doing same day appointments.

As for GV I use it, but for added safety I have it paired with a burner phone. The burner phone is unlinked unless it is the day I'm making my appointment.

"Honey, why is there an extra phone in your work bag?" - Oh that's the phone that works in Canada, I just leave it there for emergencies. (No SIM or Battery installed either, factory wiped after each session)
