Default Getting Class C Misdemeanors expunged

Is it possible to get two Class C misdemeanors that occured 10-20 years ago expunged? Is it a complex matter to do this? Can it be handled without an attorney? These happened in Tarrant County.

Thanks for the help

I know what you mean.

Class C misdemeanors are the same as speeding tickets. Unless you were given deferred adjudication or probation, then you will never ever be able to have it expunged it from your record.

If you were CONVICTED of a Class C misdemeanor, you are screwed.

Also, you will not be able to pardon a Class C. You have to have a Class A or a Class B misdemeanor to petition for a pardon. Which, basically I believe a pardon is like writing a letter to the governor of Texas.

But, I believe the agencies like the DPS can only look up Class C misdeanors (aka speeding tickets) going back to 7-10 years.

Now, governmental agencies like the FBI or whatever could probably see your whole criminal background no matter what....

Even a lot of jobs only go back to 10 years on criminal history. I really wouldn't sweat a Class C misdemeanor Hun. Also, the laws on expungement and pardoning change often in Texas. You never know if they government will offer more opportunities for people to cleanse themselves!
