Default Understanding the Debt Limit

Concise 3 minute video which does a good job of explaining the debt limit. Watch for the interesting twist at the end.

I agree. We need to tell the people how much we will raise taxes to cover the spending or we need to cut spending. However, since the rich do not have enough money we need to make it clear that taxes will go up on everyone. How long do you think it will take to get the people to start demanding spending cuts? If I remember correctly, going back to the Clinton rates, which was considered horrible, would not be enough.

Yep; raise the taxes on those who pay ZERO or close to ZERO !

Cut the size of government AND raise taxes....shift more government functions back to the states. Let New York pay for the services they want and let North Dakotan s do the same.

So far Obama has raised taxes (mostly on the middle class), AND he has escalated government spending, the size and scope of government, AND our debt and deficit !!!!!

Great video! At the end it lists the national debt at fourteen trillion. Those were the good old days.
