Years ago on ASPD me and one of the NOLA ladies somehow got on the topic of dating sites. She actually turned me on to Plentyoffish. I have heard of other ladies being on dating sites to.
I am just curious how common is it? How many of you ladies are on dating sites. How many of you are looking for serious dating?

I'm on a a few dating sites. I can say I have been single for 3.7 years and just started doing this. At this point I'm kind of having fun with it but I realize my clients are now filling the void.

I am periodically on dating sites (obscure ones that are supposedly more open-minded). I go on to look for a relationship, not clients. I either put my occupation in the introduction or tell them within the first couple of emails.

As you can guess, I get a variety of responses from "I don't care how you make a living" to dissertations on how disease-ridden I am and going to hell. Yes, from the sites that are supposedly more open-minded.

Since I am telling my profession, I use a newly made up email address and buy a throw away phone. You just don't know who is looking at it or who you are talking to.

Oh, I did have one person guess who I was by my writing style. I didn't realize I had a style - haha.

If a first meeting happens, I find it funny that some expect sex right away. I mean, we haven't even gone on a true date. This is after I explained via emails long before meeting that I am not looking for casual. So I reexplain to them we are going to wait a bit before we get intimate and then I don't hear back from them.

I heard and read that more than 50% of the men on the dating sites are married.

In fact, that is how I met my SD (I was in SD/SB relationship before I started providing).

He was married and on a dating site. We had this amazing chemistry, but I told him that I would not date a married man (I was looking for something that would possibly turn into me getting married), well, he made me an offer I could not refuse

So, men who think providers on a dating site looking for clients - what do you think of the 50% or more of the men being married?

I tried just about all the dating sites, POF, MISmatch and DISharmony, all of them are meat markets. All the guys immediately got to the point, SEX. Or they were so puritanical that if they DID get me in bed, I would scare the crap outta him!

Before becoming a part of the hobby, I used dating sites such as POF. After becoming a provider then moving on to movies, I don't think those sites will work well for me. That being said, providers are people too and some of us like to have a 'normal' dating life outside of the hobby.

I'm on a well known dating site. Between work, kids and school it's my best bet in finding a potential husband one day. But I've never actually gone out on a date from the site. It's kinda low on the poll for me right now. I'm not ready to give up the biz so I'm probably not really ready for a marriage at this point. However, it's still fun to look.

Gigi Gypsy...I would have to imagine it is hard for you. That was one of the things I was wondering, If you are a provider and meet someon do you tell them? I would think at some point you have to because if could bite you in the ass.

When my SD/SB relationship was ending and right before I started being a companion, I was looking for something casual - I was totally amazed how big of jerks men were to me. The men I see now are much more respectful.

There are quite a few ladies who are in relationships or are married. I know it can happen.

I've tried the dating site thing for a while - for business purposes only however. I prefer to find someone in person for my personal life despite the fact everything's gone to the cyber world the past 10 years.
