Just give everybody guns.
I'm sure if that's what happens, DL, then some stupid fucker will find a way NOT to have one. That asshole will probably be screaming that making him have a gun takes away his freedom to get blown away in the crossfire between the priest and the rabbi at the next interfaith charity ball...
Fucking LOONY TUNE!

If you want a country where everybody has guns, try Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. You should love it.

The statistics clearly show that few guns mean fewer murders by gun violence. When compared to other Industrialized countries, the US has 20 times the AVERAGE of those other countries with stricter gun laws. We have a right to free speech, but you can't yell "fire" in a crowded movie theater, unless, of course, there is a fire. You can't use your free speech to libel someone. Clearly our gun laws need some modifying and stricter enforcement. I think an easy first step would be to clamp down on the gun shows. Illegal guns are the large majority of the problem in the US, making the laws uniform throughout the country would go a long way to stopping the illegal gun trade. One state having stricter gun laws does little good, when guns can be purchased in another state rather easily.

Yes, the abolition of slavery was a glaring error in the Constitution, but it was argued in the drafting, and it was clear the Southern states would not ratify a Constitution which forbade slavery. I'm not sure what could have been done, except to return to the Articles of Confederation, which were proving unworkable. But we did later correct the issue of slavery.
As far as the right to vote, the Constitution actually does not grant the right to vote to anyone. It gives certain bases on which the vote may not be denied, but there is no right to vote in the Constitution.
If you want to ban guns, or further limit their availability, simply amend the Constitution. That would solve the problem about what to do.

You really don't have to go that far. Mexico is closer.

Huh?
Have you ever checked the "property rolls" in Massachusetts?
Correction: What does that have to do with "reasonable solutions" regarding "gun control" proposed by the NRA?

Just raise your property taxes to pay for it. Apparently, no one minds paying "just a little bit more" for a good cause, right?

Too much claptrap to read (and too many uninformed opinions) which is what happens when you take a few days off I guess.
All of the locations quoted by someone were "gun free" zones whether they had armed security or not. Actually a pretty good demonstration of what happens when you rely on the state to protect you. It fails, you die, and the state asks for more power.
I did notice the gun grabbers on TV; on magazines I noticed that they would start talking about 30 round magazines, 50 round magazines, and 100 round magazines. They never talked about 14, 15, 17, or 20 round magazines but they all wanted to go to 10 round magazines. I found that revealing and deceitful of the left.
When I qualifed on the .45 I had to fire 10 rounds in 15 seconds and 20 seconds. Note that the .45 only holds 7 rounds. The range master would not stop the clock for us to reload. No one failed to fire, reload, and fire their 10 rounds in 15 seconds. So I can't see 10 rounds mags making any difference to anyone except an idiot. Remember what they want you to forget, the AR-15 was not used in Newtown. It stayed in the car with the shotgun. The carnage was caused by two handguns.
For that one person; no one is waxing romantic about revolution. What we are talking about is about our rights. Rights guaranteed by God (or nature if you prefer) and enumerated in the Bill of Rights. The founders were very much aware of the nature of government to grow and seize more power from the people. The Bill of Rights was designed to rein in government and not the people. Now if you want to call this silly then you have that right (which, ironically, is protected by the Bill of Rights) but don't try deny anyone else that right by intimidation or coercion which are the main tactics of the left. The NRA news conference was held at the NRA (private property) and the hecklers were trespassing by being there. How they got in should be a good story. How did they get press passes? Was the press involved in making the news? We have seen the afterward when the press members spoke without knowing that they were on camera. The press has chosen sides and it is not the side of the people.
I have asked this on another thread; would someone tell me what they think the "gunshow loophole" is?
