thoughts on non-provider verification
I think many hobbyists are like me, in that I don't hobby enough to maintain references. For someone who hobby's 1-3 times a year, most of the providers I've seen are soon out of touch or I'm not sure if they would remember me.
I'm also not comfortable giving personal info to p411. They take provider references, but again, it's hard for me to get them.
I can imagine that some hobbyists don't want to be verified, but some do. There are quite a few providers on this website that won't see me without references. I've seen a few verified ladies, and it would be nice if they could somehow acknowledge that we did in fact meet. This could serve as a reference to other ECCIE providers. Perhaps they could even be allowed to leave one post on a review saying something like. "I did meet this user."
Sorry if this has been discussed before or if it is a dumb idea. I'm just tossing some ideas out there and would like to hear what others think.
