Yours or everyone else's.

The administration's policies implemented through administrative agencies can affect gasoline prices, as a function of companies involved in the exploring, developing, and refining hedging a future increase in oil prices as a consequences of those policies.

Also, the administrations international policies or the lack thereof have an impact on oil prices, since they can go up in military confrontation is looming, adjusted by friendly oil producing countries to accommodate our consumption, or adjusted to punish the U.S. for unpopular actions.

In addition companies developing overseas are at the mercy of local governments who respond to the U.S. policies. There are some variables.

Would oil companies raise prices now in anticipation of having to pay higher income taxes next year? You think they might do that?

Oh, I forgot to mention a release from the SPR. He has that authority.

Of course, this guy will blame high gasoline prices on a UTube movie!!!

Or, it's Bush's fault.

"....we can’t forget the aftermath of the BP spill; prior to that disaster, Gulf of Mexico oil production was running at 1.75 million barrels a day, projected to rise to 2.2 million barrels a day by now. Instead, due largely to the year-long ban on new drilling, production is lower by around 700,000 barrels a day—and is being replaced by Saudi imports."

It does seem that the POTUS has an effect on gasoline prices, so long as the gasoline prices are connected to current oil supplies and future supplies.

When Obama was president he said we be awash in green energy! Throw away those silly internal combustion engines! Turn on your light bulb to a new electric grid! Ooops, can't use a light bulb, I mean halogen light. Then BHO started calling it clean energy. Said that it would create jobs and lead America into the future. Then he pronounced natural gas CLEAN! We've got it abundance. He issued an executive order that 10% of Federal Government cars run on alternative fuels!

You Dim Libs demand so little from Dear Leader. How's that change working for ya?

LL, since you brought up the BP oil spill. What ever happened to that $20 BILLION dollars the BP President promised Obama for the oil spill? I heard the spill was capped or contained somehow. About 3 months after the spill i started to see a bunch of TV adverts saying come on down to the gulf, everything's fine.

Was there ever an accounting of that $20B? Is it tied up in court? I'm sure BP put $20B in an escrow account, has any of it been released? I've got some friends in Nawrlins, nobody has reported getting a BP check.

I'm not LL, but it looks like it is tied up in negotiations between BP and Justice, possibly over which law the fines fall under. Apparently one law has far better tax treatment than the other. At any rate, don't expect any type of announcement at least until after the election if the tax treatment rumor is true.

The Clean Up Czar was gonna give about 1/2 of it back to the CORPORATION, last I heard, after he turns down some more applications from those claiming to be damaged from the spill ... there have been some litigation pending over the "standards" imposed by the Czar ... elfs ... passing out checks.

See what oil in the water does to breasts!!!

She got $10,000 deducted from her claim as reimbursement for the boob job!

Notice how they dipped in 2009 after the economic crash of 2008? Interesting. Supply and demand. Demand must be going up, didn't I just read somewhere that national unemplyment went down? So that is why prices are rising, more money in the economy.
