Credit Card Payments? If you take them - what service do you use?
I was just researching possibly taking credit cards. Still a little leery of it do to the trail. I have a client who says he cannot explain cash withdrawals, but a charges are not really looked at.
I do not have an i phone to take payments, so I am looking for something different.
Has anyone used epay merchant account? Or something else?

I am currently looking into accepting cc and have been doing a lot of reseach. I will say this first. If you do NOT pay your taxes do not even think about processing cc payments.
1.) DO NOT USE PAYPAL.COM. They are not adult-friendly at all.
Alertpay.com is escort friendly but they take a good percentage and so is Ibill.com.
Geishadiaries.com had a wonderful article about accepting cc. You might want to check that out.
2.) When deciding on what company to go with ask about their chargeback policy. Such accounts are also considered high risk. Ask if they take care of the chargebacks (Alertpay does) or if they penalize you.
3.) When accepting such transactions you want to make sure that your business name ( the name that will show up on his credit card statement) is something generic like GG solutions, GG llc, GG enterprises. This is to protect both you and your client. You do not want his wife to open his statement and see Juggling Gipsy or Busty Betty llc haaaa!
There are a few things you'll want to get before accepting cc. You might want to get a DBA first... just sayin'.
If I think of something else .. I'll add.

What type of phone do you use? Android ? Blackberry or normal cell?
if you have an Android there is GoPayment.
At one time Motorola had a cell phone with a CC reader built in, you swipe the card just like at a store.
You can get those types of terminals for your PC too, most will connect via Serial or USB cable. Then your PC becomes the uplink for the transaction.

There is Gopayment yes but is Gopayment adult friendly?
If she processes payments without telling a company what type of business she is running she can be penalized 1 or they can close her account with no explanation.
If her phone is Gopayment capable then she need to call them right away and ask about their policy (877) 206-9913. There's their number.

I found this Link as well.. read the TOS on it and Gopayment.. no indication that it would not allow adult services.
As for more escorts allowing CC payments... it has its advantages and dis-advantages.
Advantages are that the guy does not need to carry large sums of cash. Nor does the lady have to have her "cash box" at her place that could tempt a guy to rob her. Certainly it would alleviate her going to the bank and depositing cash on a frequent basis.
Counterfeit money no longer becomes an issue and if a lady accepts cards, a guy can buy her a prepaid Visa gift card with the amount on it, she can verify and go that route too.
Dis-advantages: she would have this form of terminal set up or card reader to process the amount... its a paper trail of sorts and a bank can be involved.
However it DOES allow a lady to see her income on a weekly/monthly/annually basis based on CC receipts.
Personally if the upscale ladies took CC's I would go that route, maybe even get a prepaid CC just for the hobby.

Aww shucks...
Main thing is it would offer a level of safety in that either the card is approved or declined.
If anyone here finds a service that allows CC for adult services.. I could see that lady going CC only.. with online banking, etc.... she could pay all her bills from her account that her donation went to, the only thing she would need to leave her house for is grocery shopping and day trips etc..

I have found a few services but didn't want to post all in public. I think accepting cc is a smart move. CC only may be a bit tricky as some gents may not feel comfortable paying with their CC.

I would never use a CC. The paper trail is too available to someone that wants to find out, say LE, the SO, or your boss (if it's a company card).
For the provider, there's the transaction interest rate. So, unless you add in your CC fee, you'll be paying that to the company.
I think the OP's client needs to be taught cash-back transactions. For instance, you go to the grocery store, purchase the groceries for $50, but have them charge $100 & give you $50 back. You can also get cash advances (but there is a hefty fee) on most CCs.

I used to work for an agency that took CCs and you really, really need your documentation together. Since I, personally, don't want to have to go through all of that, I simply accept cash, prepaid cards, and green dot reloads. Its easy for my clients to purchase a prepaid CC or reload pak at walgreens on their way to see me (I can verify balance on prepaid via phone easily). They get to charge things to their CCs at a drug store, target, walmart, etc...and then their statement reflects that vendor. Nothing to hide from the SO, and I don't have to carry or deposit cash. So far, its been a win-win.

Under no circumstances should you ever accept a credit card nor any other form of electronic payments.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned charge backs.
In this business and knowing how pissy SOME guys can get, he could fight the charges and most likely win. Meaning, you're out the money. Sure you can blacklist him, but its not going to stop the fact that you're out money.
Taking credit cards in this business is a bad idea. I don't care if you pay your taxes or not. Not only could local LE get into your business, but FEDS could very easily pressure you with other "laws broken."
Accepting prepaid credit cards from Walmart/walgreens/etc. is easier and no damn paper trails.
Remember folks, this business is all about discretion and credit cards are NOT discrete.
