Default Anyone here addicted to internet porn and have SADD as a result?

http://www.askmen.com/dating/love_ti...dd-effect.html

I actually dated someone who had this issue....and I mentioned it, he was so pissed off.

I totally believe this to be true from a womans perspective, but how do you guys feel about it?

Never had the problem with porn, I have noticed less interest in putting up with normal BS from girls in general after starting to hobby.

I don't see you getting a lot of positive feedback on this one. It's not in a man's nature to admit he is having any kind of problem in bed. And I really don't see too many of them jumping on here and saying "Yes, my dick won't get hard because I watch too much porn" or any reason for that matter.

Every action has a reaction. Too much of anything can't be good. As a provider we have sex EVERY day and may face the same problem sometimes, but we can hide it better in the sense that we do not have the physical tell tale of a hard on to produce.

It does make sense that after seeing how great porn can be acted out that men might be more bored with the real deal. But sex is sex and men want it. Our job proves that. And most of them will not have any problem showing their excitement when it is right in front of them.

Well, I have never had a problem in bed (of course, I hope I never have it again). The concept of SADD makes sense.

Not a problem for me, cuz I do not look at porn often. I watch videos other people send me usually jokes or something unusual or gross, but not for the sexual arousal effect, cuz really what I see is not arousing to me. Have I looked at porn when alone, the little 15 second previews, absolutely!!! I do not do it often and have not looked at it in a very long time. Might be since I started to hobby, lol. Me, I am more of a participator than a spectator. I would rather be in the middle of the action than watching it, just me. Nothing wrong with anything in moderation, I concur.

Not sure if I was looking for any admissions, more or less opinions. Many have admitted to being sex addicts on here before. I can see where women could be caught up in porn and toys as well. I saw this on a talk show, panel with 2 women and 1 man--he was the therapist. They all made it like porn was just filth and men enjoyed the hand more than a vagina. I really cant see that being true, then again who knows.

It seems for every thing people do these days some therapist creates a name for it and makes a big deal out of it.

It's not that the man prefers the hand to the vagina... It's psychological. The brain is the biggest sexual organ in the body. If your brain is wired to perceive certain sexual acts (or all of them, haha) as the only way to achieve gratification, it's not going to matter who or what is getting you off. You just have the need to get off based upon the fantasy your brain created. That's where the addiction lies. I agree that not many men are going to say, "Yep, I got it." It has be to a very hard life to live. Most people with this type of addiction are completely ruled by it and their s/o's don't understand. So, when they can't get hard in a real life situation as opposed to the fantasy porn situation, it's not a physical problem. It's the part of the psychological addiction. And as Lil Red said, women can hide it much easier than a man can.

In the Websters dictionary, the origin of the word pornography, stemed from the Greek adjective pornographos, which means writing about prostitutes, or a written discription meant to arouse sexually.

In my opinion sexual devience begins usually in the adolecent male when he discovers pornography, generally a magazine stash, or more than likely these days internet websites. From the moment a boy/man becomes obsessed with graphic descriptions and images of sexual encouters most women they are attracted to become objects of sexual gradification.

Sexual diviation/addiction utilizes the same brain impulses, as any other addiction, such as drugs, gambling, shopping etc., so once addicted to pornography most men at some point will become obsessed to the point of personal ruin. It is my opinion that most women who are addicted to pornography are introduced to it by men. In some cultures girls at a young age are introduced to the pleasures of sex as in how to attrack and keep a man. The asian art of Giesha, is such a example.

Once one becomes addicted to sex/pornography it can actually consume their entire life. The recent CNN show "Selling the girl next Door" shows a many who admitted to being a sex addict, and that Craigslist and Backpage adult sections made it easy access for him to fulfill his sexual desires.

I watch a good deal of porn, but I'm just a late bloomer. In my 30's its interesting b/c I never got into it as a youngster. I don't find that I'm distracted during sex because of it, but I do find that I'm ready go pretty often these days. LOL

The Japanese Geisha / Maiko has been erroneously considered sexual when in fact their lifestyle is far from it. Geisha translates to "person of the arts" (Gei = arts sha= person). The women who choose the life of a Geisha learned the traditional Japanese arts (dance, singing, music, customs, etc). This training period lasts a minimum of 5 years before they are permitted to be called Geisha. The confusion was due to the origins of the Geisha working near the red light districts in Kyoto where the Tayuu/Oiran (courtesans) worked.

One other thing, in the media sex sells. A person who views porn, masturbates, or is very sexual is quickly labeled as an addict. They may simply be hypersexual or compulsive.
