When "recognizing" providers became so common?!?

Before I became a provider, I don't feel as if I carried myself any differently... Except I may actually be a tad more reserved now than before..

But, it seems as if men and women both recognize that i'm provider or approach me about the "hobby"....

I don't know weather to be offended that a complete stranger not knowing about my "secret life" can instantly tell or even think of the possibility that i'm in the "business".

To be honest I feel as if the hobby is very common these days more than ever...but because of LE, Family relations, or just respecting someones privacy... it's made out to be a "tabu".


Have other providers or even hobbist had situations similar to this?

Actually it seems complete opposite has happened to me. Up until 2 years ago, I was often approached in bars and lounges with propositions. So often that one of my running jokes is "i was mistaken for escort so many times i became one"

Then it stopped. I actually dress more conservatively and carry myself a lot less "approachable" even when I hang out with friends .. so propositions stopped

I feel as if i've done the same.. before i started to traveling to work... I had my 9-5 in the hospital and was actually recognized from my ads.. very awkward.

I have not been in the hobby all too long, but since I have started hobbying I have noticed and looked at things differently. So, I do not think the recognizability or activities have changed just my perception of what is happening.

Example: I went to Saints game in the Superdome, entered into a friend's suite and saw a man in his 60's that was bald, fat, not well dressed and short with a very young and HOT lady. She had great legs and was beautiful. This lady was all over the man and she was young enough to be his granddaughter. He smiled immensely at the attention from all of us. Before I hobbied I would have thought one of two things, Sugar Daddy for her and emotionally distraught man looking for his youth and love in wrong places. Yes, I was innocent and thought people dated to find their mate. At the game I wondered two things "How much did he pay her? and is it an overnight?" then I thought "Is she on eccie?, I will have to look cause she is HOT"

So, the lady being with the old man is nothing new in my experiences but how I percieve the couple has completely changed. Just suggesting that maybe you are subconsciencious about your providing and when others approach you, your perception is automatically kicked in to think shit I am busted, my secret is out, instead of horny old man leave me alone like it used to be prior to providing. IDK only you can answer that one. Just my .02

I'm sure this has occurred to other hobbyists, but a few years back (10+ or so), I was at the local Wal-Mart and "ran" into a provider I had just seen 2 nights before. It was a very awkward moment as she was with family. We made brief eye contact, but it was obvious between the two of us that we "knew" each other (in more ways than one ). Please, someone else tell me this has happened to them.

As for the perception thing, I do tend to look at certain women a bit differently. If they look out of place for the setting, I wonder if they are providers. This is especially true if I'm out of town and staying at a hotel. Sometimes I just wonder what her business really is

Finally, about a year ago, I was at a strip club. It was your typical set up where certain girls kept coming by asking to give a lap dance or a trip to the "VIP" room. Well, there was this one "dancer" who seemed a little too aggressive/friendly. I got the distinct impression that she offered more than just a private dance when she got off shift.
