My ECCIE Reviews
Default Whats your favorite local radio station

KHMX (96.5 FM, "Mix 96-5"), is an Adult Top 40 (Hot AC) music formatted radio station in Houston, Texas, United States. Its transmitter is located in nearby Missouri City, Texas. The station was acquired by CBS Radio from Clear Channel on April 1, 2009.

should be...

KHMX (96.5 FM, "Mix-96-5), is an adult Top 40 station for those that are suffering from a broken heart because all we play are depressing break up songs...our Dj is obviously suffering and wants us to suffer too!

If you do not have sirius satellite station iPod integration kits, playback Mp3's or Cd's and are in Houston in your car and want to hear some tunes what radio station do you have programmed?

What stations play the kind of music you like?

Or are you a newsradio or sports channel buff?

I want to know what you like!!

DONT BE SHY...

I will Shamelessly admit to the local radio stations I listen to later...

Hint most of their songs are about sex sex and more sex~

lol

Kisses,
Cercy

I normally listen to my own compressed audio or CD's but if I flip to the radio band I'm likely gonna be listening to one of the following:

KACC 89.7 FM, Rock N' Roll all day everyday.

Select programs on KPFT 90.1 FM. They have programs that focus on Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz, Zydeco, and misc international music.

103.7 FM, it's kinda like being in Jr. High again.

KUHF 88.7 FM. Hey I appreciate the fine arts. That way I can claim I'm mature and upscale.

KTRU 91.7 FM because Rice radio can be so strange. I always think about the time where I was listening to what seemed like random electronic bleeps and bloops for a good 5 minutes until i went "WTF is this shit??" Been tuning in ever since.

What I hate about most of the broadcasts for Houston radio stations is that they seem to have a playlist of 20-30 songs for the entire day. I spend a lot of time in the car and I swear I hear the same damn song playing everytime I climb back into my driver's seat.

87.9, That's the itrip station I use on my IPOD.
If not that I usually listen to talk radio. 950am in the morning and 740am in the afternoon. I sometimes wonder if Outlaw Dave is or was in the hobby.

But seriously, I've been gone for nearly a week and this is the best thread y'all could come up with???

KNTH 1070; KTRH 740; KSEV 700 ... all in the AM spectrum...just like WalMart, if they ain't got it, baby, you just don't need it. I hate it, though, when they broadcast friggin' sports ... especially on KNTH when that hockey nitwit blows his airhorn...can't change the dial fast enough....

All the music stations suck these days, so FM can kiss my ass.

90.1 used to be great, eons ago...back when they had Ace Paladino and Huey Meaux and Rotatin' Ralph. But since about 1992 all they do is beg for handouts and whine about "social justice", talk about how shitty America is. Notable exception, Nuri Nuri, the Big Bossman of the Blues, Arab dude, he loves America!! His show is 11 am - 2 pm Sundays when the stinkin' Uppity Blues Women don't engulf it. But generally KPFT is a caricature of its former self, sort of like "We Are Spinal Tap" of the airwaves.
