It would make sense. The Christian god would want a guy who can't identify one bible verse, and wants to build a wall so he can keep thousands of fellow Christians out of this country to be president. That definitely sounds very Christian.

That's absolutely right. Every leader in every country (and state and county and city and whatever they call those places in foreign countries) has been put there by God. Saying God wanted a certain person to be president is like saying God wants us to breathe oxygen. It's just a natural occurrence in life. If you're in charge, it's because God wants you there.

God puts leaders in place to help but also to punish. We are called to follow the leaders He puts in place up until it means going against Him.
