Cop check?

I see people frequently posting they conduct a "cop check" before getting too aggressive in any encounter and I'm wondering what that is?

Providers have asked me if I'm affiliated with law enforcement but I know police are allowed to lie to you so it doesn't seem like it can be that simple.

What am I missing?

You're a newbie so don't sweat it. Basically there's undercover cops patrolling and setting ppl setup so the "Cop check" is to make sure you're not.

A past MMS told me she was arrested by an undercover cop who had fun with her for a few months before he finally arrested her for prostitution.

1) Never escalate with cops. They can and will out-escalate you and would rather just arrest you and let someone else sort it out later.
2) As we all know, cop checks are absurd. An undercover cop can legally do pretty much anything short of outright getting you to commit a crime.
