Do we, as guys, need to get ourselves "right" before an appointment? Things can happen last minute...ie, wreck on the way, ticket, etc...but if we plan in advance, and expect the visit to be a cure all or at least a short term remedy for something that is going on in our real world. Is that fair to our friend?
Now this is not to be confused with letting the anticipation overwhelm you and then letting the expectations climb to unreal heights. I'm talking about having a really bad week and planning a time with one of these lovely ladies and expecting it to make it all go away...lol I know part of the deal is the illusion and there's supposed to be an escape.
Are you selling yourself short by putting too much emphasis on the visit and possibly letting it effect your performance? Or maybe even make yourself hold back and not be all you can be?
I had a visit with....nevermind, doesn't matter. It could be anyone, anywhere.
Do you ever leave an appointment and think, "Damn, this should've been better"?

My job is pretty stressful so yeah, I go see providers with the expectation of blowing off some steam and forgetting the real world for an hour. So long as expectations are met I always leave in a better mood. If it's a crap visit it puts me in a worse mood. That's why I tend to have ATF's who I can count on for a good time everytime.

Maybe I missed the point or didn't explain my situation well. I was more or less trying to figure out if there is something us guys can do before the visit to make it all better for everyone involved.

I'm not a man, but I would say to just keep in mind that this is for fun and relaxation. When you psych yourself up things don't flow as smoothly as you would like. Also, be sure to let your lady friend in on your bad day/week beforehand... she should be able to wash away that stress. It's best to see someone who knows you a little better and you do not have to tell her how you like things done. Part of our appeal is the fact that we are catering to you. If she's worth her salt she'll be more than receptive and accommodating.

I try to look at it as nothing more than a really fun time. If I'm smiling and she's smiling then it's fun. Nothing more. No pressure
