I've met with providers at bnb before. It's not too bad of an experience on your end. Mostly you could just check for cameras if you're that paranoid. I think most of the risk is with the provider. Most if not all bnbs have guest rules, cameras outside the property/door bell. There is also a cleanliness rule so that's a damper on some providers, especially some here lol. I would advise to never get an Air bnb for a provider. Learned that lesson the hard way and got screwed over once with a bad review from the host and the 2nd time was a $600 fine because of smoking inside and leaving a mess. Only got about 250 of that and then threats back.
