"We’re speaking up…are you ready to listen?

For far too long, sex workers have been ignored and silenced when they speak up on the very issues that effect them directly, and we’ve had enough of it. We’re taking Houston by storm for one day in September, sharing our sex worker culture and perspectives with the world, building our own stage from which to speak our truth. Promoting disease and drug free industry.

The Houston Annual Sex Work Symposium will educate, entertain, and enlighten the public, strengthening our sex worker community in the process. We invite you to join us in a celebration of the people who participate in the erotic trade, which will culminate on Saturday Sept 19th, with a masquerade suaree where a portion of the proceeds will be directed ton the Houston Rescue and Restpre Coalition (http://www.houstonrr.org). An organization helping victims of sex trafficking.

Includes:

-"What to do and not to do when caught in a sting"-- Legal discussion and panel featuring providers and clients on both sides. Also dancers and webcam models. Hear what your rights are and what rights are those of the law. Understand procedure and how to not make a bad situation worse.
-"Practicing Safe Everything!" - protection from physical and medical issues
-"What I wish someone would have told me!" talk featuring seasoned providers and clients dishing out the hard lessons learned from a life in the industry.
-"Is webcam for me?"- listen to two of the most successful webcam models in the industry as they share their stories.
