Accidents...
What would you do? Or think you would do if you saw one?
Would you freeze up? Or be the first one out of your car to help those in an accident? Have you been in a situation where this was put to the test?
I ask because I saw a pretty bad accident tonight on my way home. If I had been at a full stop for the light, I would have been hit by a spinning car. The second vehicle caught on fire.
My first thought when I was able to think was to dial 911. There were others getting out of their cars to help, but I seemed to be frozen where I was.

It was scary hearing the crash then seeing this other car spinning towards me. Then the other vehicle spun into other lane in front of that car.
I think that if I'd been at a full stop instead of where I was, I would have been hit by the car that had been hit.

I didn't see the actual accident, but I'm assuming that the car was on 183 and was hit on the driver's side by someone running a red light on Lakeline. Car parts were flying everywhere and both cars ended up spinning to face away from the mall. The car that was hit was pretty smashed up on driver's side. There were people helping or at least opened passenger door. I didn't see anyone get out of that car though, but the airbag was deployed.
My thought after I got home and calmed down some was that I hope there were no kids in the car.
Honestly, I'm still pretty shaken up. I stayed calm until I got home, but my legs are still like jelly when I try to stand.

From what I saw, that wouldn't surprise me.
I don't think the VW on Lakeline slowed down for the red light, so probably hit the car at 40/45 mph.
