A nonsense, for profit website that has lost a flock of users because it places non-accountability of post over reigning in lies that are hyper hyped.

Be it liberal or magpie. It has proven the lack of worth.

No trying about it. That website has given up on the truth.

This Trump freeze was temporarily blocked by a judge for a reason (the law). It affects a lot of people who need those funds. This is a power play game for Trump. But it is certainly not a game for the many in need who voted to put his stupid self-serving ass back in office. They didn't vote for him to negatively affect their livelihoods by freezing those funds.

Government spending needs to be addressed. And it really should be addressed with all of Trump's eventual tax cuts. But damn, not like this lawless guerilla dictator shit that he is trying to pull... soon, the real Republicans need to grow some balls and push back on their RINO boss.

How many govt employees will take the 8 month buy out? That will be interesting to see. Particularly since on the back end of that is the threat of mass RIF across govt offices and agencies.

The bloated federal bureaucracy and it's insistence on spending funds on non essential idealism has needed a heavy diet for decades.
So, finally.

It's my tax dollars and I don't want it going overseas to some corrupt puppet regime nor do I want any going to idealistic non-profits whose management takes home over perhaps more than 70000 in pay simply cause they are professional grant writers/applicants.

I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he worked for Trump in the Pentagon during Trumps first term in office. They had 400,000 civilian employees. At the end of Biden's term it was up to 700,000 civilian employees. Guessing that was probably all waste and paying off loyal Democrats that live in Washington DC area.

... No, the "real" Republicans need to grow some balls
and BACK Trump on His decision-making. ... And you are
surely well-aware, mate - that Trump seeks COMPROMISE with
everything - and will do so with this "Freeze" situation.

... 1Blackman1 is certainly correct - THIS is exactly
what the people voted for. ...

I have no issue with the offered buy out for federal employees. I’m not sure that as many will accept as is hoped but federal personnel likely could still work with about a 1/3 reduction. The govt has never been known for its efficiency. I suspect this is a prelude to a massive RIF. The ones that get out now will get the 8 month buyout out and when the RIF comes they will likely offer a 4 month if the person waives their union right of appeal. (At least that’s what I would do). The ones that get laid off and decide to appeal through the union would get only what an ALJ ordered, but who knows how long that process would take.

In the meantime work would go on. Now, the interesting part will be - are the govt employees gonna wanna actually take on a 50% or 100% increase in their workload and corporate style productivity metrics. My suspicion is that they won’t and the govt will have to resort to hiring outside contractors. This is when it’ll get really interesting.

I’d love to see programs simply relegated back to the states. Not block grants but actually moving programs back to the states themselves and letting the states fund their own programs.

Maybe this chaos Trump is creating is part of an actual plan that the details are not being explained. Or maybe he’s flying by the seat of his pants and hoping it’ll all work out.

bahahaaaaa
Don't need to be "bailed" out when I have facts.

https://www.thetimes.com/us/news-tod...heck-x87wbv25m

More if you wait 24 hours and do a Google search.

I would go on a rant, but why? I will be like your wife, ignore you, and let you pay attention elsewhere.

The waco one just had to push the issue.
I have let him know in the past, many time, that I don't pay heed to the faux news he and his buddies take to heart as gospel. And when he threw shade on RS, he didn't like his "source" being challenged.

Why would I care to check out a post on a site that is described as "(Media News) X is the Most Inaccurate News Source Among Social Media Platforms"?

Ain't too far off the mark with the pic-1K words bit.

... Most of what yer saying makes perfect sense, mate.
And I'm surely heightened by your "Let's wait a bit and see"
attitude on things...

Time will tell if the proper effect will be to let each state
decide on funding their-own programmes. ... Maybe more
success will mean LESS Federal control. ... Sometimes what
Trump is seeking from conflict is COMPROMISE.
